I’m getting better but is being top 500 in pretty much every track good or average at best? I usually drive s class with a Lancer Evolution VI GSR and a couple other cars.
Its still too early into the game, in a year time, when the LBs will be more populated, a top500 will be good.
Besides if you are talking about top500 in s-class, where the LB is dominated by the F50, that is a nice accomplishment for someone who started playing recently and is just getting better.
Yeah i just started playing this game when i got my xbox one. Also i was using traction control now i don’t use it at all. I’m actually not even going to be using ABS from now on. I feel traction control slows me down way too much.
At first i was using the F50 when i first got this game because i thought it was a really easy car to go fast in but now i don’t even like driving it anymore. The Evo is definitely my favorite car right now.

Now I see your best times have been set at the top gear track, which are among the least (if not the least) populated tracks
Yes, try racing with no assists, if you dont use tcs and stm, try switching off abs, it will take you some time to re-adjust but the results will be rewarding (the best thing is using manual (with clutch)) but the learning curve might be longer with that one - i personally use auto, abs off, and tcs on in the higher classes p, r, class, otherwise tcs off)
Let us know how you are proceeding, practice a lot and you will see the results yourself
I have been always using manual with clutch. So boring just using manual or auto. Thanks man. Whats the difference between simulation steering vs normal?
Simulation steering is much more sensitive for oversteer, I would recommend it for wheel users, if you use a controller it can be harder to correct oversteer with it

I gotta say I have raced against you a few times… the first few times I ran you i seemed to get smashed alot trying to get by you… but the last few times its not been so bad. I wish more people would realize that smashing through the pack causing piles ups isnt going to get anyone a gold medal. thumbs up on the improvement.
I would say anything within about 5 seconds of first place on the leader boards is pretty quick. With so few people hot lapping and not all that many of the fast guys from forza 4 playing 5 that actual leaderboards position is pretty meaningless at the moment

Leaderboards say you are fast, not that you can race. A lot of people who cross over between Multiplayers and Rivals don’t seem make this connection, so you are a step ahead of the crowd if you recognize there is more to being a good racer than just going fast.
I try to race as clean as possible but if people are smashing me ill smash them back. I don’t really want to report anyone so i just smash them back and or try to avoid them the best I can.
Average is top 650,000 right now, if all players were ranked, but most class/track combinations only have times set by a small chunk of players. However many players are ranked on the board you are looking at, average is roughly the middle. If you get into the top 3,000, that puts you in the top 1% if there are 300,000 ranked on that track/class. I don’t know who decided that you have to be top-500 to be average or above average because typically top-1000 would put you ahead of 99% of players, which is way above average.
