Am I alone in the desire of the 6.5 liter V12 from FH3?

This would be a great engine for people to go crazy on, and would increase the popularity of the game by a great deal.

I seem to recall there was a V10 in FH3 that I frequently favoured over the V12.

In any case, I doubt having that engine swap available would greatly impact the game’s popularity.

I think the swaps have been somewhat mishandled in the latest Forzas. They give us only one or two options for each configuration (V8, V12, I6 TT, etc.), but what they really should do is go through every car again and give them all the proper swaps they could theoretically have. So for example, we should be able to swap both a 6.2L V8 - USA and a 6.2L V8 - Euro into a 1969 Camaro, or both a 2.6L I6 TT and a 3.0L I6 TT into a Silvia.

Why is balancing such an issue when picking these swaps anyway? Swaps break the game, no question. Specific swaps shouldn’t raise any concerns when it comes to game-breaking performance, then. Turn 10 needs to realize engine swaps as as much a cosmetic upgrade as they are a performance one, even if their impact on performance can be great. Sure, the 5.2L V10 might make more power in the long run, but for my BMWs I would like to have the option of a 5.0L V10 from the M5 E60 alongside the 5.2L, just because. Same way with American V8s, I want to have both 6.2L V8 OHV (from Chevy) and 5.0L V8 DOHC (Coyote from Ford), because, while the SBC might have more potential, I might want to keep my Fords “true blue”, even though the engines lack their real names in the game.

You seem to know a lot about engines. Do you know how I can see what type of engine is stock in a car? When I go to upgrades and select engine swap options, the already existing stock engine is always labelled as stock, it never shows if it’s a V8, V12, in-line engine, or how much displacement it has.

Sometimes in Forzavista you can open the hood and get some engine info from the clip that plays from the engine, but for many cars the hood can’t be opened so I don’t know which engine is in it.

you are alone

Isn’t that the motor you had to use to be competitive in FH3? If so, hard pass. That was a game breaking engine swap.

No engine swap will increase game popularity unless the motor is something that mimics real world options. Even then, the impact would be tough to gauge.

I remember I had that V12 in a Ram Runner and it was a great time. :joy:
