In older Forza Motorsport games you could race any car in any car class. This was a lot of fun to see how good your tune was. You really were the underdog in that race. I remember building a 112hp 1.8 VW Golf I GTI (kinda to euro-spec) that could beat cars 2 classes up. Why can’t you do this in Horizon? It makes racing so much more fun imo. Right now the only way to have a multiclass race is by racing an X999 car against S998 AI.
Also you had races restricted by engine size or cilinders. So for example a race with 4-cilinder made it possible for the player to choose a much faster or slower car than the AI (who still had a fixed class).
I’d love to see this return! Yeah it may not always be competitive or seem fair, but it’s fun. And that’s what it’s about.
On the other hand you can make the game more challenging by trying to race against higher classes.
