Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Fiat, Lancia return to Forza in Series 24: Italian Automotive | August 17th

Yep, the 155 was very good in S1 in Horizon 4. Definitely one of my favorites, both IRL and for how crazy fast it was in FH4.

Letā€™s be honest, no matter what a non-zero amount of these brands are getting drip-fed via the playlist, especially if they are bringing in any new to forza or new to horizon cars into the game.

They wonā€™t all be in the autoshow, and I hope PGG knows we donā€™t want another FH4 Toyota situation. Hopefully it will be like the Mitsubishi situation. However, they do need some return for their work on adding these cars into the game, even if the only work was licensing. If I were in their shoes, Iā€™d probably release the bulk to the autoshow to create a burst in groundswell, but hold back a select two or three returning cars for playlist activities, along with some big highly requested new to forza Italian car from these brands to act as the centerpiece of the series.

Iā€™m not exactly thrilled about it as a consumer, but companies have to turn a profit somehow, and FH has chosen to maintain engagement and profit through secondary and tertiary means.

Probably the best case scenario if they were to do this is to put every Abarth, Alfa, Fiat, and Lancia from prior Horizon games into the Autoshow, and offer the road-going Alfas from Motorsport that havenā€™t migrated over yet as prizes in the Festival Playlist.

I donā€™t think PG will put the whole roster into the Autoshow.
I expect some of the most valuable/coveted ones to be Playlist rewards.
With the series theme Italian Automotive New to Forza additions wonā€™t have to belong to these brands.
We still have the Italdesign DaVinci which was falsly announced for Hot Wheels. The Pininfarina Battista was revealed for Motorsport.
An Italian car theme without a Ferrari? Unlikely. I assume a returning one because we already had many new ones. The 250 LM comes to mind.

Now the jubilation for the news of them coming back at all has sunk in,its a question of what we get. ATM we could just be getting 1 model from each brand or all of the old ones plus some new ones. I doubt it will be either extreme option, just depends which option is closest to what we get .I wouldnā€™t even mind paying for some

This makes sense given their previous deployment methods & really canā€™t blame them for wanting to capitalize on it. Not sure if itā€™s a factor or played into any of the legalities around licensing issues, etc, but interesting how the timing aligned with the recent renaming of ā€œFCA Italyā€ to ā€œStellantis Europe.ā€

Regardless, hoping for the Lancia Stradale to be back in the scuderia.

I also see PGG dripfeeding those cars in the playlist. It will make easy gains for their engagement metrics.

Iā€™d be fine with like 80% of them being in the Autoshow. I know the Delta S4 deserves to be a perk unlock from the Delta Integrale, and I wouldnā€™t mind the Alfa 33 Stradale being a wheelspin exclusive. However, just for the time we had to wait for these brands to return I think they need to give us more than just the FH4 cars. Theyā€™ve got the Fiat Coupe 20V, the Alfa Brera or the Abarth Punto ready to be retextured and put into the game. Iā€™d be fine-ish with those being Playlist exclusives at this point, because we havenā€™t seen these cars in years.

Donā€™t forget the 512S we got just a game prior.

I wish we could get the SVā€¦

I really hope those Italian cars are coming to Autoshow. The game has too many elusive hard-to-find cars already (and gives us too little chances to obtain them, making poor use of Forzathon shop and Festival Playlist)ā€¦

Do we know how many yet ? (I might have missed it in discussion/hints) Iā€™m suspecting it will be only a few, at least initially. Iā€™d guess a series featuring 4-6 as exclusive chore grind rewards and done. Iā€™m hoping Iā€™m setting my hopes low enough to not be disappointed.

They havenā€™t announced how many yet, but, at most, they would probably add 8 at one time if they come back through the Festival Playlist only. Likely 2 from each manufacturer.

Also, I know its not Italian, but with the Stellantis merger complete, I hope this means the Talbot Sunbeam may come back as well at some point.

Yeah, the Sunbeam is on my hope list too.

Yeah, and maybe weā€™ll see a Chrysler or a new Ram too. Maserati and Ferrari might get a car or two in this update for all we know.

The last livery I did for FH4 was for the 155 & the knashing of my teeth finding out it wasnā€™t in FH5ā€¦ Talk about righting an historical injustice. Now that there is a possibility of it coming back, I just hope it isnā€™t elbowed out of the way by too many of the newer cars. I also hope there are some prewar models coming too.

I donā€™t have any hopes for the amount or specific cars.
