I dont think people realise the joy of impaired children or grown up to play a game. If you look at one face and the joy that this brings, you could cry very easily, i might add. I’m not crying, you’re crying.
For those who think is a bad ideea: do you play the game to be ahead of someone else? Does your level in game makes you happy because is higher than others? Or do you play for fun?
You can still go and play multiplayer where(except cheats) skill still counts if you are competitive person. The game is about the fun of racing not leveling up.
I don’t think they have problem with mechanic itself, it is more anger about using it as exploit.
Although I don’t really understand why, cause it doesn’t give you any advantage. Yeah, you have higher rank/more money/more cars, but when you enter a race it doesn’t matter.
They have fun, but there are ways to fix the problem still. Playground Games could make FH5 Special Edition. If you buy that edition certain features are locked, but disabled modes work. Enabled people would not buy it, because of the locked features.
And then Playground and Microsoft would then get sued for discrimination…having an edition purely for those with disabilities would be tantamount to saying “You are not normal so you don’t deserve to be treated the same as everyone else” and “We are going to penalise you because normal people are abusing the features you use” Thought we’d gone beyond this way of thinking but clearly not.
Why should those with disabilities be treated any differently just because other people choose to abuse those features? By your logic, those using traction control should get their own version as they are abusing that feature to beat those not using it…same with those using TCS, STM etc
Well… if they banned / reset profiles in FH4 it must have been based on something. So that something could be disabled ? As far as I understand, the exploit is to run a race with no opponents ? Remove credits bonuses for AI difficulty then ?
How do you guys expect this issue to be handled ? Will they remove credits acquired that way or just send out rewards to players who have not exploited the exploit ?
I don’t expect anything on that matter. Why should they do something? This “exploit” is known since what…FM3? Why should they remove something or give players something? The afk races give you money and level, so if you want that, go do it, if you don’t then don’t do it. Easy as that. I don’t get the problem with that.
Honestly this is my only issue with the whole AFK thing. If people want to ruin their own personal experience, fine. Sure they’ll mess with the auction house economy for a while, but most of the people doing that don’t really care about the game anyways and will be gone soon.
It’s the event labs being flooded with “Easy money AFK” while the actual good content gets buried. They should just auto-delete anything with certain keywords, and also do a once a month culling of the cheat events. It’s bad enough that they’re popular now, but that effect is just going to snowball, and you know they’re just going to undeservedly stay on top of the event labs popularity lists, even long after most of those people have left, since true fans don’t have the opportunity to consolidate on and raise up the good content. I’m trying my best to search for new creators and races to follow and favourite, but most people either can’t be bothered fighting the tide or just plain don’t have the time.
Back in the days in Motorsport 7, you could do the same on an oval with rubber band on the throttle. But the game was smart enough to not give you credits at the end of the race. You had to let go the throttle from times to times to get the credits.
