I’ve just been watching a few youtube videos on some tune setups, and I noticed that on a fair amount of the tunes, the person chose to go with the heaviest set of rims. Usually, on my builds I go with the lightest rims possible, to reduce weight. Is there an advantage to heavier rims? The only advantage I could think of is possibly giving the car more stability? Thanks for any feedback.
its to use the pi to their advantage. especially on speed tracks where handeling is less of a concern. adding the heaviest rims may free up a pi or 2 to allow you to put more power into the car or more handeling etc, whatever the car needs. forza does not recognize sprung weight vs unsprung weight so its just added weight.
Yep. Just try it out. Most cars I’ve tried heavier rims on aren’t any better. In other forzas putting the heaviest rim was the way to go. In this game that isn’t always true and usually a lighter rim with upgraded rim size is better - see D class mini’s as an example. Make sure you’re watching forza 5 videos and not forza 4 videos.
Ah, ok. Thanks for the info PTG. Thats good to know.
