Any V8 car enthusiasts would love to be able to set the cam on their V8 (eg. Corvette, Camaro, Hellcat, Mustang or even any other cars with a V8). Even if you cam your car that might not be enough for you or you might not have enough credits to be able to change the cam in your car so being able to modify your exhaust system (eg. Shorten the exhaust, do straight pipes, pipes that exit out by the passengers door) these would be a great alternative to having cams.

in the current game, I dont believe custom cam profiles or exhaust lengths are possible, as exhause sound is made from recordings of real cars and are not synthesized in a simulation like those made by the game “Engine Simulator”, and the cams in this game dont do anything except increase the RPM limit, allowing the other mods to make more power through the horsepower equation (Horsepower = Torque x RPM / 5,252). cam profiles in real life dont act like this, and this inaccuracy in the game would prevent them being able to add it realistically.

if youre curious, the “cool sound” you get from an agressively cammed V8, or any other engine, is basically the engine running like **** low in the RPM range, as the cam profile is designed to work efficently at high RPM which necessitates making it run worse at idle. this is fine in race cars and so on but theres a reason most cars dont come like that from factory, most people arent doing that with their cars, and its also why variable valve technology (VVT, VVTi, V-Tech, etc) is so common now, it lets you get that big cam performance up top, while having a smooth running idle down low.

Heres hoping the next game features better simulation of how engines work so we can have cam options, exhaust length variation, better turbo and antilag customisation, etc, since all of these things are limited by the current system to “they add a % of torque everywhere” or “they increase RPM”, with no downsides anywhere.

Bruh the exhaust sounds are not real lol. What car in real life make bubble pops and fh5 every car makes that same bubble pop sound lol. The exhaust pops are definitely Ai

I have absolutely no idea what you could mean by this, though I can only assume you dont quite understand what AI is.
