I feel your pain, tag in FM4 was probably my favorite game mode in any racing game.
For what it’s worth, a couple of threads here that got merged yesterday, and yours will probably follow suit. You’re definitely not alone and the worst part is we can’t even make custom lobbies in the meantime while hoping that T10 figures it out.
I honestly don’t get it, the option is right there the only thing that needs to be done is to enable it.
Unless there’s some massive issue with the tracks that prohibits it, but I don’t know what that could be, as far as I can remember the only track changes in FM4 were that pitting and the wrong way indicators were disabled, surely those changes can’t present such a massive issue that they’ve just scrapped the whole idea. Honestly at this point it wouldn’t even bother me if somehow that was the issue, it’d still be miles better than being relegated to airfield only.
So I don’t know, I’m hoping with the full launch on the 15th that we’ll see it return with the full spread of hoppers but I’m already bracing myself for a second helping of bitter disappointment.
Talk about despair. Imagine how I felt when I found out keep the it was out. I loved playing keep the it for Forza 5. Pretty much only thing I played. I still have hope in Turn 10. The game literally just came out so I hope they are going to be implemented in the coming days.
Hello T10/Playground Games- Similar to FM5, TAG/Virus and the Playground Games were played on actual race tracks, not a cordoned off airstrip. I LOVED the gameplay of playing TAG/Virus on the tracks. You could flip the car around, and play as a team better than what you do on the FM6 and FH2 for that matter. Could we possibly get an update to make available the TAG/Virus gameplay on the actual racetracks? Hockenheimring, Bernese Alps, Daytona, etc? This put the fun in TAG, now… it’s not so fun. Thanks for consideration and listening.
I agree, I had a thread about it when the early access started but it’s been bumped down to oblivion so I’m glad people still aren’t happy with this.
They actually listened and added more hoppers so maybe this can get some attention now since I’m sure there are a ton of people waiting for tracks to return to tag. The way it is now is the opposite of fun.
playing tag in a big parking lot is like being shoved into a pre-school. there’s just too much chaos. at least too much to do it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. occasionally tag in an open area is fun, but tag on tracks was better. more refined. (yes i called tag refined) is it really such a big deal to have a real track selection? we vote on everything anyway. why not just add all the tracks to all the game modes and let the lobbies vote. why limit the voting selection to begin with?
it seems like it would take more effort to limit our selections than it would to just leave it all open. i don’t get it.
I do like TAG/Virus and in FM5, I loved playing it with the 550 Spyder on the actual tracks. I agree that TAG/Virus, ‘Keep the it’ can all be returned to the tracks for increased fun! I don’t play them now on FH2 or FM5 or FM6 for the simple reason that it’s not fun to be in a little tiny area, when we could be playing this on the race tracks. If at all possible, I respectfully request T10/Playground Games to consider this feature and return it to FM6 or hopefully, FH3.
Thanks.
I haven’t even tried tag/virus/keep the it, whatever it is, but this saddens me. Always used to enjoy racing around tracks in a silly fashion. Sometimes it did suck when the last person or people were at the complete opposite end of the track, but that’s when you work as a team to get someone. Put it back on tracks and/or make the area bigger. Leave the random areas for Horizon, and even then, Horizon 2 needed bigger areas to play in and some with less obstacles.
I don’t play tag much, but I agree it should be on regular tracks. If they do this though, they need to ensure that any collisions and other behavior that would be considered bad in a normal race is ignored in this game type. Same for CnM if they ever bring that back. I only mention this because it’s something that I fully expect T10 will forget to take into consideration and people would be wondering why every circuit racing lobby they go into are entirely filled with crashers.
Bump!!! bring back the actual tracks this is ridiculous. Tag is just so boring on the airfield. I’m a huge Forza 4 fan and just bought a Xbox one for Forza 6 very disappointed to see Tag is not on actual tracks.
Yep… it’s really retarded. No obvious improvement over FM4 in this regard. I’m seriously considering selling my Xbox One + FH2 + FM6.
FM6 tag/virus letdown could be the final straw for me.
they still havent added it and yet theyve opened up all these new multiplayer lobbies, its about time to sell the game imo, i know this may be extreme, but this was a make it or break it thing for me
I gave tag another go since out of map glitches seem to be patched on this game. After a week, I am bored of the same boring maps. Made worse by people who don’t move the whole game or once tagged stay still or muck about hitting people trying to get the no it people. Forza 4 was the best forza for the tag community. Tag needs to be put on tracks.
Tag on tracks was on my wishlist list and i have been let down by turn 10 again. The other people in my group agree. on a positive note forza 6 is the best racing game/forza game I have ever played. I have played them all.
I can’t believe T10 haven’t sorted out TAG to be at least as good as what FM4 was.
Seriously going to be tempted to sell my XBOX ONE + FH2 + FM6 and put proceeds towards a PS4 as Forza 6 with good TAG was what I was really holding out for after the very disappointing FM5. FH2 didn’t really amaze me that much either… kept going back to XBOX 360 + FM4!!
Also not having clubs and auction house in FM6 add to my major disappointment with FM6.
