My idea is to add a new safety rank called S* that you can only achieve after 5 or 10 consecutive MP races at safety rank S. The benefit of this rank is that you are only ever placed in matches with other S* rated players that consistently hold clean races.
You may ask “why not just make S only able to race S“. My reasoning is that it is easy for less experienced/cautious drivers to occasionally luck into the S rank, only to then get kicked back down to lower ranks in a race or two.

Problem that has been identified is there is not enough players online to fill the lobbies. So they are forced to fill the lobbies with various safety rankings.
Who has that been identified by? T10? Or just people looking at steam charts? I play on xbox x so idk if there are official numbers.
If they do a matchmaking system why not
I think enough players here have come up with the assumption that the player count is too low for the ranking system to work properly. I don’t care! I have yet to qualify for online, zero safety ranking and zero online rank!!
Fair enough but even if it matched only b with b and a with a and s with s, this suggestion would still work even better for the people that could achieve the rank of s*.
