So, I decided to start trying to turn my Acura NSX into a rally car because of some of the car’s unique features. It has 9 gears, a hybrid powertrain… AND is still comfortably low on the PI scale. However, the problem I have is the painful understeer. Whenever I try to tune it out, I instead get the same understeer, but with sudden instability during acceleration.
Got any tips?
If you post your build I can help you out with the tune.
Engine: Cam and flywheel only.
Platform and handling: Everything (rally suspension)
Drivetrain: Everything
Tires and rims: Snow tires, 255 front, 335 rear, super heavy wheels.
Aero: Rear wing
No swaps
I reverted my tune mostly, but my gear ratios are set to weird and weirder
EDIT: I think that it might be important to mention that I have my gear ratios shortened a LOT. I am at 300kph in 9th gear.
Try these settings:
Tire pressure 28.5 28.5
Final Drive 3.36, gears stock
Camber -2.9 -2.0
Toe 0.0 0.0
Caster 6.0
Anti-roll bar 17.8 19.9
Springs 267.2 388.9
Ride height 5.9 5.9
Rebound 9.4 9.1
Bump 1.3 1.1
Aero n/a 533
Brakes 52% 125%
Diff front 74% 0%
Diff rear 100% 74%
Diff distribution 75%
That tune feels good! thanks! I still kept my gearing, though just because I understand how to fiddle the gears to what I like.
Great! Values are straight out of my QuickTune H4 app btw.
Fifty inch, your tune has front diff settings for a RWD?
