Those of us with an ultrawide monitor have a pretty ugly experience because of this design choice. It will box off all parts of the screen leaving you with a tiny window of the game to look at (it also boxes the sides off on 32:9). Usually it shows up on race start, race end when it’s a close finish with another car, end of race results screen, etc. In every case I can think of, it’s just reducing my screen space for aesthetics. But this contrarily ruins the aesthetics of the game on ultrawides.
I’m not talking about the title menu or anything else that’s there because it has to be. Just gameplay parts where it’s just arbitrarily hiding more of the game world for looks.
