A700 Maserati GT-S Open Source Tune

Hello all,

I recently decided to give this gts a go and see what it could do. Give it a try and post some lap times. Any feedback is welcome. Thanks for looking!

The build:

Race engine block

Race breaks
Race suspension
Race arb
Race weight reduction

Race clutch
Race gearbox
Race drive shaft
Race diff

Race tires
Maximum width front and rear
5Zigen ZR+520 20" front 21" rear

Forza aero front and rear

The set up:

27/27 psi

3.90 FD
3.85
2.48
1.83
1.45
1.20
1.03

-1.4/-1.1
0/0
6.1

20.22
20.06

626.3
593.5
5.2/5.3

5.9/5.4
4.5/4.1

100/200

48% balance
87% pressure

60/10 for the diff

Obviously breaks are up to player preference.

My lap times (I’m not that good):

Alps club - 1.25.7xx
Hockenheim short - 1.09.142
Bugatti - 1.51.524 I suck here
Prague short - 1.02.xxx
Rio mountain - 42.860 #63 in Americas #199 overall #1 in my division by a full second
Road Atlanta short - 59.9xx

As you can see I’m not the fastest driver by any means. So please give it a go and post your lap times!

Thank you very much for sharing this build/tune Trap…you got me very curious about the car since I had yet to build it up and had not raced A-class at Rio Mtn. So, I first tested your build/tune “as-is” and right aways placed it #2 in the Div, right behind you (I am kinda of an average driver, still lots to learn).

I normally do not upgrade at all the Clutch and barely the Tranny, so, I decided to swap in those 2 Race parts along with the Race Block, for the Race Manifold and Race Fuel System, and, inverted the rims F/R (now 21/20), went down to Sport Driveline. Re-ran it at Rio Mtn and was able to improve to 42.498 (#38 AM & 136 WW). I will probably play around with the tune in a couple of days or so.

Again, thank you for sparking the interest and hope you also test this alternate build. As far as the tune goes, you did a great job (just a slight understeer)! I changed the brakes to 47/140 to my preference, especially since I do not use ABS, and, let the springs change per weight deltas on build changes.

Hey thanks for giving it a try! And also for the compliments on the tune! Looks like I have some work to do on Rio mountain, I’ll be chasing you as hard as I can.

I love this car and really wanted it to be better than it is. To be honest, you never see them in hoppers… Mainly because they can’t really keep up. At least not on the current track rotation. But I’m glad it has sparked some interest from a proper tuner like your self. You’ve already improved on it and I’ll def have to try what you mentioned.

Thanks you again for the input. I’ll go back to testing and tuning to try to squeeze everything out of it!

At 1st glance it looks solid, i will probably do the same as PRKid (hardly ever upgrade clutch ant trans) but I’ll test yours 1st, thanks for sharing.

I changed the parts you suggested and improved to a 42.58x without changing the suspension. But the springs def need to be adjusted some more.

That is cool, watching the improvements. Yeah, I will also look into a new tune since I know it could do a lot better than what I did in it. I like the car…I think the build is slightly better, so, now we can tweak the tune to get more out of it. I’ll all look into getting a couple of folks to take it for a spin.

I shard a paint for the car if you guys want to grab it…simple, yet, elegant!

Will definitely pick it up! Thanks!

Tried out your tune on Rio Mountain. Feels pretty good, nice balance. Was able to land a 41.9 before making some adjustments of my own. Try them out and see if you like:

Same parts except

Race Air Filter

Race Clutch → Stock Clutch
Race Trans → Stock Trans

Rear rim size down to 20"

Same setup except

35.00
40.00

1,000.7 884.2

4.5" 4.6"

13.0 13.0
3.0 3.0

48% 150%

60% 40%

Rio Mountain 41.469 #43 World as of 1/31

Great job on your runs!

I rebuilt it, and had to drop to Sport Driveline to get it to A700. Will also check this tune versus one I was also pulling together. Thanks!

That’s awesome man. I tried your settings and improved to 42.122. I’m losing time in the first turn, and the tight left hander going back up the hill. Why can’t I watch your replay?

No idea. I’ll try to improve and see if the replay gets uploaded.

The vid is up on Rivals with your time of 41.469
