I just quit the first Rivals race I tried for Forzathon midway through and was still awarded the Porsche 911 GT2 RS anyway. Someone might want to fix that.

I got the message it was awarded to me and the game crashed… I guess I’ll see what happens after work.
Did you not finish a lap? I tried quiting without completing a single lap, it didn’t pop; but when I did a single lap (not beating the rival) and then “finished” the rival event it popped. Must be something to do with how the system looks at rivals… might be checking all times and not just the one you’re currently racing against.

Hahahaha That would’ve been a great retort had a) the subject been a free gifted car and b) had I been complaining about said free gifted car. Neither was actually the case so you can keep the snark for someone else.
After being awarded with the car after quitting midway through (I’m sure it was after after at least 1 lapfor whoever asked) and after a friend of mine was awarded the car after LOSING the race, it was clear that something wasn’t working as designed and I guess I thought I’d raise the issue so that perhaps whoever was responsible for that content could avoid any subsequent repeats in the future. The nerve of me.
Considering that was one of the developers, perhaps it WAS designed that way.
The phrase has nothing to do with receiving a gift, by the way.
