A question about racing lines

I’m a fairly casual gamer, so I rely quite heavily on the racing lines to tell me where to go in most of the races (I’m not someone who memorises the route, for instance).

However, I have a bit of an issue sometimes in the winter season, as I’m quite badly colour-blind, and so at times I find the blue of the line just fades into the ground and I struggle to see it.

Does anyone else get this, or am I just cursed with crappy, crappy eyes?

(I get it a bit sometimes with the offroad stuff as well, when the yellow checkpoint banners blend into the background of the fields, etc, sometimes, but it’s not so much of an issue.)

They don’t b;end in with regular colour vision. I don’t know what to suggest.

I’m not 100% sure, as I have never properly checked, but I’m pretty sure I’ve caught some colourblind settings out the corner of my eye.

Try in the display or ease of access settings, there should be something that can help - many other games have modes for different types colourblindness to help people like yourself enjoy the game more.

The line definitely disappears in winter. I don’t know anything about color blindness but in the video settings there are several modes you can set to compensate depending on the particular affliction.

There are video settings for 3 kinds of colorblindness. Two of the settings work perfectly for me, but… these settings are only for the maps! The on-screen driving line is not affected by the color-blindness settings and in the snow, for me, it is just impossible to see. For the most part, I use the driving line only for the braking info. It seems pretty accurate.

The racing line sometimes disappears under the snow on the roads, nothing you can do about it.

It also disappears under the tall foliage in cross country races. Makes it quite challenging to play from the bumper cam!

Bumper cam turns any car into a vomit comet … I can’t take it for more than a moment or two, especially when I’m skill-point farming on Bamburgh beach in the RS 200.

Yeah, it makes for a wild ride. I change the view when I am doing skills, etc. But I cannot race from behind the car…the physics are different.

I believe there are modes for different forms of color blindness and a high contrast mode in the settings. Look there and see if any of them help. Also turning the brightness up or down may help.
