I went to my games and apps, not there, checked “ready to install” not there. Went to the store and it says" install to console" I do that and it saying trying to stall to console and then check my setting to make sure I allow auto updates, which I do. nothing on the console from Forza 7 to update.

I just did a hard reset…its installing now…downloading at 140 MB/s.
So I have to wait till midnight for the download to work? Is there no way to trick the MS store into thinking your from a different region and unlocking it earlier?
I downloaded almost 50GB within 90 minutes and then it just resets to 0 for no reason what so ever… even contacted Microsoft Support and they tried to help via Remote Access, still not work either.
Guess the Pre-Load isn’t for the Ultimate Edition owners, but for everyone on Sept 29th, so those who have the Deluxe or Normal can download it on Sept 29th like those with the Ultimate version.
Guess the Ultimate Edition owners have to wait a few hours on Sept 29th to download it, whilst the others don’t have to wait as it would already be downloaded by Oct 5th.
The download being too big and our internet being unstable is absolutely garbage.
I downloaded Gears of War 4 from the store which is about 125GB so about 30GB more than Forza 7, not a problem yesterday.
I was lucky and it only took me 3 attempts to download Forza 7… definitely not our internet, so stop telling porkies.
SOY claims the game will properly download once it’s unlocked. I’ll test that theory tonight by making the download throughout the night. Should take me 11 hours to complete. If it fails, then we all know what SOY said was basically just a wild guess and nothing remotely confirmed by the Windows Store team.
I bet it doesn’t work. Come midnight, lots of people who have been trying to preload the game for the past two days will all be trying to download at the same time so the servers will get hammered leading to more failures or, at best, potentially slow downloads. Had the pre-load actually worked then the downloads would have been staggered across two days with the remainder of people who hadn’t preloaded downloading the game at midnight and after that.
I suspect things will get worst at midnight and perhaps ease off over the weekend as more and more people successfully (hopefully!) download it. Then come the 3rd October the people who bought the Standard and Deluxe Editions will be downloading, if not before that if they can also preload.

So i managed to download the game, thank you
No the download didn’ t just resume.
And guess what, my connection isn’t the most stable, and once it encoutered an error it has starting the download from the beginning again.
This is seriously far too much hassle, at this rate I would have indeed wasted any early access use what so ever as I’m not convinced this issue will be resolved before official release.
I started a fresh download, did not want anything thing from before and it worked. I also did a store reset and placeholder uninstall
Do you have any Tip for me? I’m trying to download this today for the 8/9th time. I have a very slow internet connection 16mbps 10 come through, so if the preload had worked, I would have downloaded it in 3 days or so. I don’t know what to do anymore, I am considering to leave my PC on the whole weekend to download it, but it’s probably not going to work like with the preload. I managed to reach 30GB with my poor connection and it probably paused in the night because the internet shut down for a second or something. I paused my download today to see if I can resume on sunday when I’m back, guess what it wouldn’t download anymore. My guess is nothing is fixed. I am really disappointed, Ive spent 100€ on this like many others and Turn 10/Microsoft isn’t even bothering to do anything. There is almost no response regerding this issues. So what should I do?
