I think PG are just lazy, think of the cash they’re getting from all of us suckers for what is effectively the same concept and designs just pasted into a new world… it’s DLC level.
That stream the other day about ‘fixes’ & the upcoming ‘distract all our disappointed customers with a new area’ was just cringey I’m certain neither of those guys had even played FH4 before and retrokrystal was the only one to even breach the subject of the problems in game.
I agree. In TDU 1 and 2 when buying a car new, you could even change the interior colors and trims that were the same as real life cars had. This would add an even higher level of personalization. You can even do it in The Crew… I understand that FH4 has a lot more cars, but it shouldn’t be a huge limitation. It’s all possible, but the devs have to want to implement it.
Oh Im glad Im not the only one who is frustrated ba this. Its ridiculous.
Also I cannot believe that developers could make removable roofs in TDU 12 fkn years ago (!!!) and I could even play with the windows rolling them up and down, and yet here we are in 2018, and can honk the horn like Windows XP… well done…
So the new car came out with car pass… i thought spider meant convertible on a car… but seems i was wrong… anybody know how to remove it… thx

This is another ridiculous oversight from the developers. Opening the roof in Forzavista is nice but it makes no sense to have the roof closed while driving. Especially now that it’s Summer, I though we’d get a new cabriolet for this season. Now it’s essentially the same car as the coupe.
If the game doesn’t support an in-game switch for opening roofs (like in Test Drive Unlimited) then at least they should make all convertibles open. Now it’s completely random since the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder is open, for example, while others are not. The 650S Spider is a useless car this way, in my opinion.
Reported it to them aswell… hopefully they will do something about it or if they will just send an automated message saying we appreciate your feedback and we listen to all of it.
I also sent a support ticket into them as well. I hope all of this will be noticed and will be enough to get them to change it or implement convertibles into the game.
I agree that they should add a button to raise or lower the roof as you please or have a system like in NFS Rivals where your car’s roof is down all the time unless it starts to rain (I guess in this game it would be rain or snow) having the exact same car but is 100 pounds heavier is quite bad dlc
You know what makes me even more upset than the fact that the 650S Spyder has a roof? The fact that they dont even say anything about it, come PGG we make this forum so that you can talk to us, the comunnity, if you really want this game to be a service then you have to talk to us, tell us something, explain why this decision was made, tell us if theres a chance to take the roof of the car in the future, anything would help us be less angry about this, even if you have a surprise update where we will be able to take the roofs of convetible cars, a teaser wouldnt be a bad thing, it would keep us interested in the game.
They already have the model in the game and don’t let us drive it? I’d love to be able to put of the roof in free-ride. But yeah… Some dreams don’t come true.
I’m pretty sure this could be considered false advertising.
We paid for this content, and they give us a car we already have in the main game.
I really really hope this is an honest mistake on their pat. Because if it was deliberate, then its absolutely shameful. Not to mention pathetically lazy, and insulting to the consumer.
Why is it in test drive unlimited and 2 and midnight club which came out years ago you could pull up at the side of the road and lower the roof but in 2018 they can’t figure out how to do this
The 650S Spider shouldn’t even be in the game, whether the roof comes off or not. Complete waste of an addition and, along with the other 2 stupid convertible versions of cars we already have (and I’m sure we will get at least one more), makes me glad I didn’t buy the UE and instead got some free Game Pass for it.
Even if the top did come off, the game just doesn’t feel suited to it. Back in TD:U the convertible cars kinda added something to the game with the way you could look around the cockpit while driving, and it fit the sunny location well. In FH4 the cockpit view is too rigid to get the feel of an open top car and the weather isn’t really great convertible weather most of the time.
NFS Rivals didn’t even have a cockpit view… Yet you could drive the convertibles with an open roof and, even better, they would switch on/off depending on the weather. Nowhere near the game FH4 is but it had this stuff while Forza does not.
Convertibles make sense in this game. In fact, they make more sense than the 917/20 or the Lola T70. It’s not winter forever and people like to explore the beauty of the graphics to take photos. If convertibles were pointless there wouldn’t be stuff like the Fiat 124 Spider or the Triumph Spitfire in the game.
Car Pass however is a different story. I personally didn’t like to see the Gallardo Performante and the 650S Spider in the Car Pass. I must say I didn’t even like the C-Type, considering how we already have three E-Types (the coupe, the Lightweight and the Eagle Speedster) and the D-Type, so the C-Type just didn’t feel fresh. I think the best car in the Car Pass, not counting the Bond cars, has been the 2018 Vantage, but even that has its own share of issues (interior color isn’t good, limited paint choices, etc.).
