I was disappointed when the VT15r did not return to FH5 so imagine my excitement when the crazier rallycross car (VT18x maybe? I’m not sure what designation Vermont Sportscar calls it) was spotted in this expansion. I got the car, hopped in (without looking at the stats) and was let down as soon as I took off.
The specs are wrong. The real car is specified to have 600 hp /660 lb-ft (that’s while suffocating through a 45mm restrictor). The car was making this power since 2015/2016 back in the RedBull GRC days. Compare that to the in-game stats: 600 hp/479 ft-lb. Seems like a huge oversight as the the Rahal Letterman Fiesta GRC, and Hoonigan Gymkhana 10 Focus RS have similar real life specs that were brought into the game without issue. In my opinion, Subaru WRX STI ARX should be driving similar to Hoonigan Focus RS.
Some people might say, “just drop the 2.0L F4 Turbo Rally engine”. While that would work and give me more torque, it would have less horsepower. It’s not the same engine. It’s a misrepresentation of it’s real life counterpart.
Please fix the car. Give it the torque it’s supposed to have. Give it the explosive acceleration. Let it be the rallycross champion it is in real life. I love the games. I love the Hot Wheels expansion. Allow me to love this car.
