I know there is a thread buried for this(in-car POV issues), but this is one car that still needs tweaking(2015 Camaro Z28).
Can someone at T10 please look into adjusting the 2015 Camaro Z28 in car view? I think it’s too far back and sitting too far down(much like the 2015 Corvette Z06 was when the game was launched). The Z06 has been fixed(it’s now very good), but the Z28 still needs tweaking. I like how the car handles, but the driving position in-car really puts me off from using it as I feel like I’m driving from the back seat and that I’m 7 years old sitting in the drivers seat.
I bought the hot wheels pack to have a look at the 2016 SS in-car view. It’s better. I think the seating position is too low, but I don’t feel like I’m in the back seat like with the Z28. Now granted, it’s not as bad as the Hellcat or Z06 were, but it still has issues.
Both cars make me feel like I’m only 3 or 4 feet tall. In general, most any person around 5 or 6 ft tall should never have their eye level fall even with the top of the steering wheel. Which both of these cars seem to do.
I think the target seating position should be very close to this view(for both cars). The view below is from a ZL1. Notice how the top of the dash is just below the centerline of the picture. To me, that feels normal. Both of the cars in question, when in game, have the top of the dash well above the centerline of the frame. That makes the in-car driver feel 3 or 4 feet tall. At the very least, please adjust the 2015 Camaro Z28 to be closer to the wheel like the 2016 SS.
If you will notice, you can actually see the clutch pedal through the steering wheel at the bottom of the Z28. No driver should be able to see the clutch pedal from the driver’s seat when driving.
