This is perhaps the most beautiful digital interpretation of any kind I have ever seen!
First off, it is a Rolls-Royce… It may sound like not a big deal to the average gamer or even car enthusiast, but it is. It’s a pretty darn big deal thus far, this is the ONLY Rolls-Royce you can ever see in a video game. Of course, that goes to say without any particular modifications.
Second, it sounds magnificent! Hearing that potent 6.6 liter, twin turbo-charged V12 engine purr on Catalunya is absolutely satisfying!
Finally, just driving around tracks feels so good. Being a 2 and a half ton car, yeah… Don’t expect it to pull off 160mph turns like the E21 without flying off the track. That being said, it still handles pretty well. It certainly a car I think I will spend quite amount of time behind the wheel!
Just a side note, the fact that it was free just makes me so pleased!
Turn 10, Turn 10, Turn 10… You guys spoil us so much!!! Been a die hard fan for that reason since Forza Motorsport and I’m very excited to get behind the wheel for Forza Horizon 2 !!!
Can’t say I wasn’t surprised that t10 has added the ‘starlights’ in Forzavista mode either. Switch on the headlights and open the doors and stare in awe.
Yeah, I’m nerding out a little on this car. I kept thinking the interior video wasn’t working or I was missing the timing on my button. On the far left of the dash you can turn on the lights from the interior to see the starlights.
Yeah, I think a programmer/tester was sleeping “behind the wheel” on that one. If you go into cockpit view, it’s nice and reasonably loud. Mistakes happen. It seems the sound level was programmed in backwards.
Has anyone else noticed the cockpit view of the RR Wraith is to bright and shiny? It was the same when they first released the Maserati Birdcage then they sorted it out. Any chance you can to the same on the RR and turn it down a bit T10?
I don’t see how it is anything like old American cars…It is a RR and as such it will be well balanced even for a big brute and will have a turn of speed that will surprise…Love it
I found the Wraith (at least in C Class) to be extremely difficult to drive. Sure, it was a new car but the thing was handling like a boat for me. The '74 Celica felt like a D Class Mini in comparison.
The only other new car I tried so far was the Vauxhall and it was doing OK for a first time car. I could see myself driving it again. The Wraith, not so much. Again, in C Class - might be a significantly better driving experience in a higher class.
I noticed that the double r logo on the wheels spins with the wheels themselves. I thought Rolls made their wheels so that the logo remains static no matter how fast the wheel spins…
Makes me laugh how people are complaining how quiet it is…
It is designed to be as near to silent as possible, and T10 are here to make the game as real as possible. By making it louder, they are effectively being less accurate.
However, believe you me, I will not be driving anything else for a very, very, very long time…
It is too quiet in 3rd-person, and roars from the cockpit view. I agree with the assessment that the sound assignments were reversed. Outside that, it is awesome. Sure, it’s a heavy boat that tends to slide around with too much body roll, but who cares? It’s a Rolls-Royce!
