that’s not a memory leak.
nobody who calls something a memory leak really means that they just don’t know what a memory leak actually is.
you are having problems with the window regaining focus after alt-tab - it’s lowering the fps because it thinks the window is out of focus I reckon.
Try hitting alt-enter to full screen and focus forza.
Make sure you are fullscreen borderless with fullscreen optimisations (win11 ) enabled.

No, it is definitely a Memory Leak. It was an issue in Horizon and it continues to be an issue in Motorsport. I assure you after making sure the window is full screen and lowering to potato settings, the FPS remains low. The only fix is restarting the game entirely and in some rare cases redownloading the entire game.

You can try process lasso and set the .exe to have high priority anytime, this will be solve some problems if you forgot to force full screen back when you are finished alt-tab
No it is not a memory leak, it’s your GPU control panel, and the background app FPS that you set it to.
There’s no memory leaks if you have a proper paging file, and Alt Tab twice to regain focus should help,
Otherwise, it’s your choice of fullscreen/borderless etc that’s impacting your game.
A GTX1070 doesn’t have this issue, and I alt tab AT LEAST 5 times in 30 minutes of a Nurburgring rivals event, I change track, i open the browser, I run netflix on the screen next to me for my son,
-20 FPS after YOU choose to al+Tab is your settings that are not correctly configured by you for when you return,
I even put my PC to sleep, forza minimized, and resume windows to the same game.
Fix your settings.
People have picked up this phrase and I hear it all over different forums. “Dropping fps equals a memory leak” In reality it is likely a misconfigured piece of software or worse, a misconfigured windows installation. This game has no memory leak, I run it for hours easily and nothing changes, I can alt-tab, alt-enter whenever I choose to, nothing changes.
