I execute Forza Motorsport 7, it begins consuming 2,7GB RAM. Whenever I go to the customize car menus like tuning and so the game begins getting more and more RAM non stop till it gets my system RAM that are 12GB. In that moment the game crashes to desktop with no errors.
Checking the video RAM memory usage, it never goes beyond 4 GB. My video card has 8GB.
My system is:
— Intel i7 920 @3.6 GHz
— 12GB RAM DDR3
— GTX 1070
Turn10 please fix this mess as soon as possible. This is unacceptable
I agree. Upgrading and tuning a car without crashing or having to restart the game is near impossible.
This is starting to make the game unplayable. I now have enough CR to start upgrading my cars the way
I want, though I can’t do that without crashing. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
This memory leak is the absolute worst.
I literally cant play career or anything because I cant tune a vehicle. 16GB of RAM gets nom nom nom’d. The pagefile goes nuts. game just closes.
Best way to sort of avoid the memory leak is this, start the game either for only “racing” or “tuning” (tuning and cosmetics is where the memory leak mostly is, in the menu’s).
If you just start the game and start racing right away, the memory leak should not happen, (still have no clue what causes the dissapearing textures tho, i suspect something with VRAM Usage).
Also having the memory leak issue.
Turn10, PLEASE respond. this is NOT a minor bug that can be lived with. This makes it UNPLAYABLE. For 100$, this is very sad.
Can replicate EVERY single time.
If I try to upgrade or tune my car the game uses all 16GB of my installed RAM, and every bit of virtual memory it can until the games crashes or freezes. I’ve seen 16GB RAM and 18GB virtual memory used, but only on the upgrade garage.
So many problems with everything Turn10 releases for the PC. To think they learned anything from Forza Horizon 3 release… And this is from a studio that walks hand-in-hand with Microsoft.
At least they are very open about future updates and communicating with their fans. No, wait. They have yet to acknowledge the issues posted all over their forums. Would it be too much work for Turn10 to just say something like “We’re working to find a solution, expect a fix [insert estimated week]”? Instead, just silent. “Maybe if we’re quiet people will forget our game is broken”
Seriously, I love the Forza franchise and I really hope they can fix the game but after my experience with FH3 on PC I kind of doubt it.
I was really hopeful as well, that FH3 taught them some things about PC optimization. And I also bought Forza 6 Apex two months ago, which runs without any issues.
So I said to my self - oh, FM7 will be like a breeze, far better than what FH3 was at launch -… but nope. I’m just glad I didn’t buy the Ultimate Edition, paying 100 dollars for a broken product.
This is the only thing keeping me from giving this game a positive review. Maybe Turn 10 should focus less on the initial experience and more on the actual meat of the game.
Turn10 Needs to relist the ram requirements for this game to 16gb ram required because 8gb isn’t enough even on low settings it maxes out 8gb of ram in the title screen. I bought this game to have it unplayable and no refund because I bought it off Microsoft store
