I thought it would of been pretty cool to see some of the past fantasy layouts incorporated as DLC for this game. Maple Valley, Camino Viejo, New York, Pacific Shipyards, Tokyo, Test Tracks, etc. Especially considering they don’t involve the normal licensing issues that many real-world tracks come with. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the abundance of tracks we have. I’ve just always wanted to revisit some of these tracks in the newer Forza games. But I know with the two year cycle of the Forza franchise it doesn’t leave much room for development and R&D to make sure things run smoothly. I would happily pay $20-$30 for that track pack. I was just wondering what you’ve seen over the past 10 years in the Forza franchise that you’d like to see possibly make a return and what made it a standout to you.
I really liked the snake tracks from FM2
Black Mamba, Boomslang, Copperhead, Death Adder, Diamonback, Inland Taipan, King Cobra, Malayan Krait, and Russel’s Viper. They were fun and challenging, in my opinion. In FM3 I liked Rally Positano, Ladera Test Track and Tsukuba Circuit.
There have certainly been a lot of changes over the years. From Forza TV and Unicorns in the Auction House, to storefronts, drivatars and Autovista. Some I miss a lot, but I’m learning to move forward.
For me the Proving grounds test track was an absolute favorite, what killed the track IMO was the decision to make it DLC at launch of forza 3. As we saw on forza 3, DLC tracks never made it into the career and online track rotations driving the tracks popularity way down. if they looked at the data for that track from Forza 3 and decided to cut it in Forza 4 from that data, then i think it was a massive blunder. still waiting to see many things…
Honestly, I was expecting a whole lot more from Turn 10 with regards to Forza’s ten year anniversary; but, seeing as how much they’ve got going on with the Motorsport and Horizon franchises, and with PC gaming now a part of their repertoire, I suppose there is no time to toot the horn. On with the next ten years!
