To be honest these prices are too high. Especially on such cars. Having to pay 20 mil for an Rx7 with a hideous design only because some sweaty player has been doing nothing but play the past games 24/7.

After a lot searching and looking on the forums i still couldn’t find the answer to why i can’t put a high buyout or higher bids as the max buyout i can do is 93K whereas some have 20mil buyouts. some posts said that it has something to do with being a legendary painter or pro tuner but i don’t see how that changes it. do i have to be a legendary painter or have a paint job from a legendary paint job to achieve the ability to sell at a higher price?
In auction house I searched for an RX-7 (1997), but I saw all RX-7 with 6.000.000 CR for “first offer”.
Then, I tried to sell my RX-7 for 6.000.000 credits, but the game said me the max offer i can set is 150.000 CR.

Pretty sure I’m a better tuner and pretty sure satnight is better than me. We can both produce #1 tunes if we felt like it. We are both super legit and should be rated legends. This game is just holding us back. It’s a hack or something.
But yes, don’t let the legend tuner status go to your head. We all know you’re legit at tuning something really well that did something somewhere that one day. Remind me again?

Seriously though, I think most people downloading tunes aren’t looking for #1 racing tunes. I think a lot of people are looking for drifting or drag racing tunes. It seems like no matter what car I pick, there’s at least one 5 star tune I can’t understand because it would be complete garbage for racing. I see S2 901 builds with 5 stars. Go up an entire class for 1 PI? Genius. My guess is that a lot of those are either drift/drag/ or just maxed out builds … and I run across precious few people in the game that actually race.
They could be drift or drag or could be useful in campaign where class doesnt matter.

I think you’re right though. My “best” tunes have absolutely nothing to do with racing and my best tunes get little use. Since the game doesn’t show who tuned the car on the boards or online like FM6 it’s hard to get uses and downloads. I relied on on-track performance in FM6 to get my oddballs used.
It definitely was. And I really liked how that was done in FM6 and wish it was done here. Since we can all basically drive other peoples’ cars, it would be nice if the car got the leaderboard credit it deserves. I also think that helps great tunes not getting lost in the shuffle. It’s good advertising.
I think the legend tune or paint thing is a little unfair because I’m pretty sure it’s a good bit of the people that got the game ahead of time for development and building hype and the market place.
Phredesign and little vixen are the only painters I’ve seen with legend status so far. Both would be of that status if they didn’t have the game until Christmas. They’re both well known for producing high quality work since the 360 days. It was inevitable.

It’s even worse that anyone can do this by downloading either a Legend tune, or a Legend paint.
This should ONLY be available for either the actual tuner or painter and not the person just throwing the files onto the car. The one thing I am sick of is seeing the exact same terrible design plastered over every car in the Featured/Elite design section, these spammed designs should be removed so we can actually see talented painters liveries there that are actually worth something.

I stumbled upon the Bleak’s 16 Camaro by see your time on one of the rivals i ended up doing because friend beat me there. I was wanting to beat him in something that wasn’t a Subaru or lancer (nothing wrong with those cars too me. But he always uses oddball cars so I figured I pound him into the sand in something a bit unexpected cuz he uses the your lancer and scoobie are “glitch”, “shouldn’t be s class” etc.
I’ve never heard of this legendary tuner and I’ve been playing since the end of FM3.

And totally agree the rating system is wierd. But I try to remember those in top 100 (big swing in this game) so if I see one of there tunes I usually try and follow if there build/tune suit me. So more of there stuff pops up.
See what Bleak and Swerve use is almost a past time for me in this game.
Pretty sure I would never buy a 10mil tune for rx7 ever. It’s not like it’s a MOTÖRHEAD 787 or BRYCE’s Indy cars. Or any other number of legendary tuners that would more then likely open source with the death of Forza stats. And race teams competing. I finally get good enough to be a lower tier top guy and the devs kill that aspect. Go figure

Thanks for that. I’ve playing the whole time but I’m not super competitive and have only been using leaderboards the last few games. And even in FH2 when I was on a bunch of front pages, I didn’t always share because there didn’t seem to be much interest. I’m sharing now, though. Every car I’ve driven so far has been top 50 or better, even on crowded leaderboards. I do need to redo some earlier tunes, like the M4. Basically, the further left in my storefront, the better. And I’m staying away from Suburus and Evos til later.

There is no reason for this guy to have high rating this is some sort of boost or some issue and seriously no tune/build is worth 10mil.
Yeah, some people are pure capitalists. Capitalism is great most of the time, but not so much when they artificially restrict supply by buying up everything to resale only to the rich, because they have some special label, economies of scale or whatever. The little guy … the one with less than a million CR to spend … loses. So maybe it’s not illegal, but it’s a blank move.
And the tuning status gives him the ability to sell for that much, but nobody, I repeat, nobody, is buying those RX-7’s for the tune. They are buying because that’s the only way to come up on an RX-7 in the AH because people like this are buying out all the normally priced ones. I can see allowing people with legendary painter status sell for that much. Somebody like Little Vixen has high quality, unique designs. But no matter how good a tune is, you can find one just as good for free almost all the time.

I don’t care whether the car has a wooden paintjob, or it’s got the most badass livery I’ve ever seen. I’m not paying 10 million for it, NEVER! It’s stupid that just because you’ve got a high rating means you think people should pay that much money for a car.
Buyouts should be at 3 million, even that’s pushing things for me. You spend no money making the car look ‘good’ only time, and I don’t think your time is worth 10 million.
If I offend anyone with legendary insert whatever status here I’m not sorry. If you’re trying to sell a car for 10 million then you need to remove your head out of your anus.

The OP sounds completely arrogant in his postings, referring to himself multiple times as being a “Legendary” tuner. I am very sorry you are having trouble setting your $10 mil buyout, but please get off your high horse.

I found this out and now I’m going to sit on my rx7 for a while til I rank up a few times.
There are car collector’s in real life that buy ten or so of the same vehicle just so they can sell a rare car for more than it was worth before. It sucks but it’s a real strategy.
