(Pre-text: This post will (for the sake of science and information) include a write-up of my ‘Quest’ from my first “How to make money in Forza 7” Google search to the conclusion and result of my findings (With Research and Links included).
If this does not interest you, have no fear; The guide for the 1.6m/hr method is at the bottom of this post, titled “Conclusion + Results:” Enjoy!)
Disclaimer: As shown, the 1.6M Figure is a gross figure including: Base, +100%(Difficulty), +100%(VIP), and +300%(Mods).

Introduction:
I had enjoyed a number of hours of gameplay in FM7 - taking on the first couple of Forza Drivers Cup Championships, and it was around then that I found my savings from my winnings dwindling. I decided I would do a quick Google/+YouTube search to find out the fastest way to earn credits! After all, this is a AAA racing game (that has been out for some time now), surely there will be a plethora of information by now! Nope, not really… Most of my searches resulted in outdated information, including the old patched Forizon Edition +XP bonus Exploit, people confusedly commenting on the way rewards are calculated (the most common misconception being per mile), and old information that didn’t take full advantage of the new Race Shop / Mods system.
First Method: (Let’s Try the FE Cosworth @ Daytona)
After sifting though all of the useless outdated information, the best method the internet had to offer seemed to be 1hr of Daytona Tri-Oval Circuit, at night, in the Forza Edition Cosworth with a popular tune that let you cruise around the course at about 215 in cornors, an up to 227 in the straights. This netted pretty decent results with a base rate of 150k and a total gross of 900k Cr in 1 hour. Not Bad… but I had a feeling this was the best “Brain AFK” method, and wanted to delve more into researching the actual FASTEST way to earn credits… (also it was a bit too brain afk for me, quite boring - which is fine but if I could have a little bit of fun and earn more credits, why wouldn’t I).
- Results Summarized:
- Total Time: 1hr
- Laps: ~87 (I forgot to check, but i’m fairly sure this is accurate)
- Fastest Lap: (Was in a ‘Timed’ race so I’m not sure)
- CR Earned: 900,000 (VIP)
Honorable Mention:
I found another similar method on YouTube shown by user Lost Phoenix Gaming (Link below) where he drove 100 laps of Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Oval Track) in the Renault R.S.17 where the Time Invested/Cr. Earned ratio proved to be a good bit better than the FE car at Daytona method.
- Results summarized:
- Total Time: 1hr 13:15
- Laps: 100
- Best Lap: 00:42.047
- CR Earned: 990,000 (No VIP)
In testing my self, 39sec. laps should be attainable with a downloadable tune, which would make this a 1h 05:00 method for 1,200,000 CR (with VIP) in ~1hr.
Info on the FM7 CR Rewards System:
Before we can delve into finding the best CR/Hr method*[1], we need to understand how Forza Motorsport 7 calculates it’s Credit Rewards.
- Credit’s are calculated off of XP.
- Each track has a unique base XP value based on subjective difficulty of that track.
- XP is awarded PER LAP (not per mile).
- Credit Rewards are calculated off of that XP value.
- The XP (and subsequently CR) value is, at the conclusion of the race, rounded, in the same fashion as FM6.[/list]

Formulating My Method: (Objective: No more Brain AFK, let’s get to finding the REAL fastest method for CR/Time Invested)
Okay, now that we understand how Credit Rewards work in FM7, let’s find the track that awards the best credit reward per lap, while factoring in the amount of time it would take to complete that lap. I did not do a complete thorough testing of all tracks, nor is all of this entirely my own work. I did some research to find what other users had found*[2] and then used that information to run my own tests on the tracks that appeared to have the best CR reward for the time invested.

With the Honorable Mention method, user Lost Phoenix Gaming proved that the speed of the R.S.17 outweighed the CR bonus of FE Cars (that I have access to). With this knowledge I decided to do my research and testing with the fastest car I could get my hands on; the Renault R.S.17.
- My Test/Calculations: → https://imgur.com/a/oXT6Yxr
I personally tested LeMans, Monza (Chicanes + Alt, which the better was Alt), Bernese Alps, Homestead, Maple Valley, and Prague(Full and Short, which yielded the exact same CR/Time ratio) in the RS17, with 3 laps.
With this information, I more extensively tested between the Bernese Alps (Festival Circuit), Prague (Full) and Maple Valley (Full). I found that the Bernese Alps Circuit actually gave 4,500Cr/Lap when testing with even lap numbers. I also feel personally that it is a bit easier track to consistently fast. There are really only 2 braking/shifting points, and all of the cambering on the corners coupled with the down-force of the F1 car makes high speed consistency more attainable.
Conclusion + Results: (Renault RS17 + Bernese Alps (Festival Circuit) is my choice for fastest CR/Time)
Maple Valley (Full) and Prague (Full) are close enough seconds that you may want to try both for the sake of personal preference (everyone drives different) or even just to mix it up every once in a while so that the grind isn’t so bad.
- Tune: (obviously this is a matter of personal preference but here are my picks)
- “alps” by creator DTC RIP is the tune I used for the run screen shotted run
- “Insanity” by TPR Venom is very strong too
Results Summarized:
- Total Time: 1hr 05:37
- Total Laps: 60
- Best Lap: 01:04.882
- CR Earned: 1,620,000
Tip:
Get in the habit of checking the Race Shop before/after every race for mods. The best 3 (Imo) being “Double Down”, “Payday”, and “Lockdown” (since I don’t play with assists).
