Your favorite NASCAR moments?

With the NASCAR expansion pack out now for a little bit I’ve been curious; what’s your guys favorite NASCAR moment? It could be anything. From an iconic paint scheme, a literal moment, like my personal favorite Dale Jr’s 2014 Daytona 500 win, or anything else you can think of. It could even be a favorite team, driver, car or sponsor.

Dale Earnhardt win at Daytona 500.

Ricky craven roughing up Kurt Busch in an epic photo finish at Darlington.

Geoffrey Bodines insanely violent wreck in the truck series at one of the restrictor plate tracks.

Kevin Harvick’s first career sprint cup win at Atlanta a few weeks after the death of big E.

That’s some great ones there!

  • Dale Earnhardt Jr’s 2001 Pepsi 400 win & Michael Waltrip’s 2nd place finish (DEI 1 & 2 finish) at Daytona… the very next Daytona race after his Dad’s death.

  • Dale Earnhardt Sr’s first & only road course win at Sonoma in the 1995 Save Mart Supermarkets 300.

  • Dale Earnhardt Jr’s first Winston Cup (Sprint Cup) win at Texas Motor Speedway in 2001… his dad pushed people out of the way, to include an announcer, to get to his son & congratulate him.

Being at Jeff Gordon’s first Cup points win and at his last Cup win.

Standing in a line at Caesars Palace, waiting to get served,a guy walked by to get into this store for special framed gifts and unique stuff of sports and movie hero’s,i grabbed his shoulder and told him to move to the back of the line and to wait and he said: I’m Kyle Busch and here for an autograph hour… :o)
Not really famous in germany,so i didnt know him!

Kyle Busch breaking his leg and sitting out for a large part of the season. I don’t like Krylie Busch.

I like how he came back and won the championship from that;)

I wasn’t & still haven’t made my way to becoming a Kyle Busch fan, however, that was an incredible feat & he does seem to be more mature this year… I think Joe Gibbs may have something to do with his increase in maturity!

Matt Kenseth taking out Joey Lagano last year even though the penalty was 3 race suspension. It had been building up for several weeks prior and Matt ended it really fast. LOL

#24 Gordon’s complete sweep of The Winston All-Star Event [all three segments] and The Coca-Cola 600 in 1995…

Dale Sr winning Daytona and him “just trying to rattle” Terry Labontes cage at Bristol.

As far as personal moments in NASCAR… it would be attending the All Star race back when my son was around 3 years old & he slept on the concrete seats on the back stretch during the main event…lol

That one time when Cole Trickle raced his crew chief down pit lane … on foot.

Heh. For real though, my favorite moment was going to Phoenix International Raceway one year. I’m not a NASCAR fan by any means, but the experience of seeing and hearing the race live and in-person was simply riveting. An item scratched off the bucket list!

Brad Keselowski getting “a little buzzed” after his championship in 2012, and Richard Childress punching Kyle Busch and putting him in a head lock in 2011.

The 1996 Dale Jarrett win at Daytona 500, it was the Dale and Dale show that day. For those of you who are not old enough to remember this race you would need to YouTube it, boy i tell you that was some race, Dale Sr. gave everything he had that day, with 6 laps left Dale Jarrett hugged that inside line holding off Dale Sr, also in the mix was Dale Jr and rookie Jeff Gordon, that my friends was a rece to remember.

My least favorite is living right next to NHMS. A few times a year my town gets invaded lol
