Thanks for the dates and times. I looked the dates for E3 up, but for some reason they did not stick with me.
I’m not going to be able to watch it live, but I will be able to catch the action later after I get off the job. I’m really interested in this years E3 and not just because it’s a Forza Motorsport reveal year. Seeing the curtain drawn on the Xbone’s version of DX12 is the primary reason I can’t wait for the convention.
I think that is what everyone is waiting for. I know that a lot of people in the tech side are desperately wanting the dx12 xb1 benchmarks. Something that is yet to be seen.
Another reason this years E3 is going to be interesting is for the first time ever, PC has its own dedicated “thing”. I say thing as Im not sure what its going to contain.
I try to get excited about PC gaming, but not having a gaming PC is curbing all my enthusiasm. That’s why I am looking forward to what’s coming for the Xbone.
It’s about time Microsoft makes a bigger presence in PC gaming. Their OS is darn near synonymous with PC gaming, why not have some games in that arena as well? I’m just glad that GFWL is gone. Hopefully MS doesn’t create something as restrictive and cumbersome as GFWL to replace it. I have the feeling they won’t.
because they chose to focus on xbox really. Its a division that has constantly lost money, not made it.
GFWL died a horribly death because MS chose to force its XBL model on to PC gamers. many games have now transitioned over to steamworks to get off GFWL servers, and still keep the games running.
From what I understand, and the premise is that Win 10 should include XBL as you know it for the most part.
Online play will not require a sub - this is what killed GFWL along with other factors.
Bringing the community aspect of XBL to windows is Huge, and will be huge if they pull it off.
Cross platform play I dont see happening outside of a few games due to advantages PC will have over consoles (kbd/mouse, framerates).
If you havent read it, this is a interesting read by Rahul Sood - previous MS exec.

Discussing games, Oculus, Hololens, Windows 10, Feedback, Xbox: Daily LIVE, and gamescom:
“…Having a jam-packed lineup of games to show at E3 means that there simply isn’t enough time to give each of our upcoming titles its well-deserved time in the spotlight. We’ve decided to save some of our most eagerly-awaited future titles for gamescom in August. Rest assured that titles like Crackdown, Quantum Break and Scalebound will be front and center at gamescom along with new game reveals for both Xbox One and Windows 10.”
