I saw this online somewhere, so I am bringing it here:
Assume T10/Microsoft decided to be amazing and make a real Horizon Festival. Not only that, but it is coming to the closest big city (nearest you), this summer (or any for that matter, that’s not the point), and the tickets are affordable, kind of (like any music festival actually is affordable). (Taken from Coachella, a similar type deal), it would be a 4-ish day festival. Would you? Why or why not? Would you want to race in it?***
Personally I would, because even though there would be many limitations (let’s think logically), overall I think it would be kind of fun to watch others race (I’m not a racer), and I also think it would be fun to go to a music festival with all the lights, drinks, and music!
***And for anyone who is going to be condescending and rude on this thread with stuff like “that will never happen”, I know that. This is just a thought provoking thread, nothing less, nothing more.
Yes i would.
Because wynaut
(pokemon joke)
i would race nothing faster than modern muscle as I don’t like dying, but yes I would go
No. I’d watch far from the sidelines. No amount of insurance could cover the damage that some Forza community members would create on the track.
Would I race? Hellz yeah!!
Would I attend the festival? Depends on the music, really. You wouldn’t catch me at a Dubstep concert for any reason (well, maybe if you paid me to be there).
That … that’s like making yourself DLC. Whoa …
Aye! DLC = Dude Loves Classic rock
If I was paid to go, yes I’d go.
No, I would go to enjoy the music, the car culture, and all the car shows and the such.
Would I race? No. If the racing were Horizon style, I would not race my car - it would need too much money to put into shape to race and the chances it would get wrecked are high.
If the racing were on a track and following most conventional no-contact track day rules, then I would consider it, but chances that I would race are still very low.
As for the festival, it sounds like it would be fun blending car shows with music concerts.
if i made DLC I would make a car made out of scribbles, that was X class.
I attend something like this a few times a year - it’s called a 24 Hours of LeMons race
It’s basically a party and occasionally some racing breaks out! www.24hoursoflemons.com - spectator passes for the weekend are $30, and you get 100% access to the paddock.

I honestly don’t think that a festival like Horizon would be possible, from a safety point of view. However, I would love a festival that had races and cool events planned.
