So, due to work I did not have an opportunity to play until last night. Threw AWD and classic racing tires at a 66 Nova, tweaked the final drive/differentials and away I went. First Trial attempt…and we won with flying colors. I hung out between 1st and 3rd for every race without issue. We even carried a scrub with a stock RWD 66 Nova for the entire championship.
But co-op trials “Don’t work” and people try them “30 times” without winning…
Co-op trials are fine, they are supposed to be difficult. If you don’t like challenge then might I suggest a movie or watching let’s plays on youtube? Because challenge is what makes games worth playing.
been wanting the Patrol Outfit for awhile now. not being a good racer, i could never beat the challenge to unlock the outfit. now i can just buy it, yay!
It’s a bit worrying seeing a lack of concern regarding the fact that, like Fortune Island, we are now getting old, already completed weekly championships. Is it intended to be this way? Is it a bug? Is PG really too lazy to think of new championships so they just stick an old one in and hope no one will notice? If it didn’t already show as completed I wouldn’t care as much, but there is no way in hell I’m going to run it knowing there is a good chance I won’t receive any rewards.
I thought I was the only one. It says I’ve completed the super hot hatch seasonal, when I didn’t do it. Or maybe I did it on another season?? Surely, if they’re going to repeat events they’re not going to consider them complete if you’ve done them in a previous season? That would lock you out of the reward.
Pretty sure the event was originally used back when the new Civic Type R was first available in the Forzathon shop. I believe that was the first or second week I had the game.
I honestly wouldn’t care as much if they reused events as long as I would get the rewards, but the fact that they are too lazy to figure out how to show it as not already completed is kind of hilarious. This has been a problem for well over a month with Fortune Island, but PG refuses to actually give a statement, we have no idea if it’s a bug, or intended and they just did an awful job implementing it.
I’ll never be able to find it again, but I do remember them mentioning in one of the Forza Monthly livestreams that they know of the issue and that a fix is coming. I believe they said it was tentatively planned for the Series 7 update. This is all from memory, so grains of salt and all that, but I do recall them at least acknowledging it as a bug.
Anyone have any tips or car suggestions for the drift zone PR stunt? I can consistently get 65k but am having trouble getting anything more. The narrow gravel track and inconsistency of what counts as acceptable track to actually drift on is making it tricky.
My tune is named “Playground Bully” as I built it for playground games but it turns out it is pretty amazing at everything offroad (Danger signs, speed zones, drift zones)
I was bored so I figured I would give the Deadliest Hatch seasonal event a try even though it showed as completed since some people keep saying they got rewards even as it showed as complete. Of course, I didn’t receive any rewards. Great work Playground, keep it up!
I see they’ve worked out a way to curtail some points earning, introduce the bugged (for many people) distance driving requirement for a daily/weekly earning task. Top work on that guys, appreciate you increasing shop points and stuffing up ways to earn them.
Testing yesterday, it seems as though the distance is only gained while offroading. I was driving lots with minimal mileage, and noticed only certain times I gained.
Did a couple runs down the beach though and got a few km each north<>south. Boring, but rip along the beach for a bit.
I drove about 60 miles on road to reach the 10 miles lol. It counts on some roads and doesn’t on others. Another bug that’s been around for ages that they refuse to fix.
