Winter #Forzathon Shop, Festival Playlist events and rewards through April 30

Idk why but this weeks trial really got me going now and sent me testing different cars … seriously spent way too much time doing that.
So Track-Tor is by far the fastest, even at only A 752, big problem is the cornering and it tends to bounce around.
After Bowler, Trailcat, Rockstar, Regalia, Toyota, … I finally found one that I can drive near Track-Tor’s times - Jeep Wrangler DD - smooth ride, power and grip.
If anyone wants to try that one too, feel free: 824 909 208

Just finished out this season’s challenges. I think I’m getting the hang of this now. lol

The Trial - tweaked a Jeep Trailcat up to A800 228 168 177 It was already near that when I got it, but lowered it some and tightened it up a little. It used to be too springy to be useful, just fun. Now it settles down and flies right. I’m not typically a 1 or 2 finisher in these, but def near the front of the pack. Took 3 tries though, the first was a Battle Royale among the human racers. I had to learn to lay off a little til everyone sorts their stuff out then gain from there. The choke points will kill ya.

Winter Games - ran a Holden Torana but was def not set up right, won anyway. But had the same thing happen that someone mentioned earlier. 6-6 or 6-5 at King, 6-4 at Zombie, went to 6-1 for Flag, but then someone had somehow joined in to make it 6-2. Not sure if it was a new person, or someone that had dropped out from earlier. Either way, prepped up the '73 Firebird traction-style and will try it again to see how it performs.

Iceberg - ran a stock Ford GT40 Mk1. Thought I’d have to swap out the tires, but those meats are plenty thick in the back, so it held well. Took each race easily.

Cold Street - started with a prepped Lotus Exige. Won the first stage by luck, it just did not have enough top end to catch up, but a truck helped in the end. Better lucky than good. Switched over to a 370Z. Put tires, dropped some weight, and put in a race cam for the big difference. Wasn’t quick off the line, but it handled well and just chased down and pulled away from everyone.

Cold Storage - prepped a Ford Supersportvan. 128 276 088 I loved this one back in MS6. Have it painted like a Lambo. lol. Easy, smooth, placed first each race.

Danger Sign - This one and Mudkickers gave me the most problems. So I hit it with a Rimac with snow tires just to get it done. Then I wanted to try with trusty old monster Gremlin X. 903 936 311 Took a couple of tries and a few innovative routes but got it. So excited forgot to cap it, lol. So I’ll be doing it again tomorrow.

Speed Trap and Zone - again with the old reliable Gremlin 903 936 311 Both were just a few mph under on the first pass, so def wanted to keep the same car. Trap was done on the second try. The Zone was tougher and took a couple of passes, but with a decent run up and just clipping the corners turned in a 108mph

Tuning is still a trick to me. I don’t have the patience to truly work out a perfect tune. But I can get in the “good enough” ranges to suit my driving style and go from there. I want to try to eek a little more performance out of the Gremlin so if anyone wants to give it a shot and let me have a little feedback, I’d be appreciative. Thank you

I always use Mosler and RS200 for the pr stunts

My two go-to cars for the PR stunts (nearly all of them) are the slightly modified Gremlin (I think it’s an S2 938) and a Lambo Huracan rally setup. They have handled almost all of them and are just fun to drive. For a few specific ones, I needed to handle on a case-by-case basis. I tend to like it as a bit of a challenge, not to the level of frustration, but just enough to keep it engaging and fun.

  • The Rimac for the Roman Mile and Rannoch Shelf. (though I could do the latter with the Gremlin)

  • The Aston Martin Vulcan (thanks to for the suggestion) for The Bridge House speed zone

  • I purpose tweaked the Mosler for the M68 speed trap but could almost get it with the TVR Cerbera and the Ultima but just not quite.

  • A hopped up Meyers Manx to do Mudkicker’s Danger Sign. I needed something narrow cuz I kept hitting the stupid pipes (usually the third one, argh!) Might try it with the Polaris.

I have all the Traps and the Danger Signs done. I have 5 Zones that still need a third star. So I have an RS200 so I might take your suggestion on that.

So, a question: my posts need moderator approval, is that just for being new here [Mod Edit - correct, just temporarily - MM]

Took me a minute, but I finally settled on a van for the Cold Storage championship. So now, here’s the championships and PR Stunts.

  • PR Stunt: Rannoch Shelf Vista Danger Sign | 574.1 feet
    Car Used: Shelby Monaco Cobra
    Tune: Stunt Snake - 659 809 395

This build is a bit on the crazy side. It can bite you if you’re not careful. But it has insane speed and WILL spin the end around if you’re not careful. I have it as a rally/winter build because it’s nomially used for dirt Speed Zones and some Danger Signs. The key to this one is back up the mountain a bit, then charge towards the sign. Try to hit it on the right side, otherwise you’re going to slam into a house and fail the jump.

  • PR Stunt: Copse Speed Trap | 182.0 mph
    Car Used: Koenigsegg CCGT
    Tune: Zoner -160 891 674

Not much to say about this tune that I didn’t say last week. Just get a run-up, point, and floor it.

  • PR Stunt: Carden Creag Speed Zone | 95.0 mph
    Car Used: Jeep Trailcat
    Tune: Flatout - 130 018 811

I did try this one with the Shelby, but it was being too cantankerous. So I broke the Trailcat out, approached it from the north end, and was able to get it after a couple tries.

  • Championship: “Tip of the Iceberg” | Road Racing | (A800) Classic Racers
    Car Used: Lotus Eleven
    Tune: Rocket(W) - 406 204 142

I remember the last time I featured this tune. It was like butter then, and it’s still like butter now. Case in point, let me direct you to the screencaps of the times I ran. Not much more to say than I need to make a summer version if possible.

  • Championship: “Getting Cold Street” | Street Scene | (A800) Modern Sports Cars
Car Used: Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG
    Tune: HeissStrasse - 151 397 107

Not as much of a masterpiece as my Eleven tune, but this Benz gets the job done on the streets. The fact I could get snow tires on it was a nice touch. May sound odd for a street build, but it means you at least have grip if you’re run off the shoulder. Also helps with the slicker parts of the road.

  • Championship: “Cold Storage” | Dirt Racing | (D500) Vans and Utility
    Van Used: GMC Vandura
    Tune: D-Team - 208 024 158

I have other vans with slightly ‘faster’ tunes (like the Mini-Traveller from last week), but this was more about finding a balance of grip and power. This van does that. I sacrificed the snow tires for a bit more power, but the vintage race tires still give some good traction. I only had two real problems with this championship. First is even with the grip, this van struggles up the hill on the second race. But it does much better on all other parts of the track. The other one is it seems that Unbeatable Drivatars apparently thing that ‘D-Class Vans and Utes’ means demo derby. I restarted the second race once because all the Sandmans and Transits blocking the straightaway. It was chaos, and I wish I had taken a screencap…

3 match with ai… ram centel. another will be speed demons and last one will be the stop in middle of race…
as always i hate the weekly online race. about to hit the 200 loses to less then 100 wins… invisible cars, phantom tags etc so fun

I normally use the Mosler for the seasonal PR stunts but I was already in the Ranger T6 for the weekly forzathon so I just did it with that… tuned to A800. It took 3 or 4 tries but wasn’t that difficult.

I was surprised to read here that people were having a hard time with it.

Seriously, some people are just absolutely crap at doing the Games.

If you can’t do it then don’t try.

Nothing more infuriating than seeing someone sitting there doing bugger all whilst i go around doing everything.

4 goes and every time i’ve been hooked up with useless so and so’s.

Edit: Finally got someone who can play, thank you to that person, i appreciate it.
