The Fanatec Clubsport V2 wheel bases and wheels for Xbox one are shipping now, will they be compatible with Horizon 2?
yes, since they are compatible with the xbone they will be
i assume you are talking about the xbone version though
Yes, the Xbox One version. I hope so, I’m concerned because the game was released before these wheels.
Just received the Clubsport V2 wheel base today but I can’t use it for another 2 months until the wheels come out! I’ve been waiting to play Horizon 2 (and the Fast Furious thing) until I have my wheel!
It works with any racing game on the Xbox one. There’s a review on GTplanet where the reviewer tests the wheel using the game.
From what I read, the wheel is pretty strong. You can set it for sim, or you can crank it up and set it for gym. It doesn’t get into the “abuse me” levels of strength that the direct drive wheels have. But it doesn’t sound as if it’s a weak wheelbase; even on the XB1.
Everything I’m seeing on GTPlanet regarding the Clubsport V2 is from last year. If he used the Clubsport V2 wheelbase with the Xbox One, he probably used a controller adapter because there was no wheel that was compatible with the Xbox One at that time.
EDIT: Nevermind, I see now from the links you posted below.

The first line of his conclusion…
Aside from a setup issue, the wheel and hub performed well.
My apologies, you’re right. I edited my post. When I googled the hits came back from stuff from before the universal hubs were being shipped. I see from your link that this was just a few days ago.
Thanks, Horizon 2 is literally half the reason I bought the wheel and it’s not cheap. (The other half is obviously for Forza Motorsport.)
The CSW is a darn good wheel in my opinion. If I were in better financial standings, I’d either have one or would be waiting for one to arrive. For me, I am stuck in the “Mid” market, with the TX, G920 and MC wheel. It’s kind of depressing that those are the only choices in the $300-$400 range. One isn’t available until October, and of the other two; one isn’t worth the materials it’s made from and the other is great but has iffy reliability. Sigh…
From what I hear, there are new wheels on the way, but not much of an idea as to what they are. Ok… Almost. I know there is a mid market entry from Fanatec on the way. It’s the wheel I am highly interested in, and the other…? I have the feeling that the other wheel is going to raise a whole lot of eyebrows.
I’m lucky to have a CSR Elite wheel for Xbox 360, PC, PS3/PS4 to use until I get the second half of my CSW2 w/ Xbox one hub/wheel.
