I think if you’re in the lower leagues, then trucks will be viable because of the good handling and the fact that rammers can’t slam you off course. However it’ll be hard to sneak through first lap carnage. I also think they look pretty intimidating. Thoughts?
They most likely will be banned in hoppers because it’s so “obvious rammer car”
Curently in FM6 the mercedes racing truck would be very viable lobby car, It was proven by me and bunch of my friends who had time to drive it for couple hours before it was banned from hoppers.
Although I’d like to see some hoppers that are non collision only. Then we could use whatever we like as and when we like without the worry of being branded a rammer, and without rammers being… well… rammers lol
I’d say give us lobbies with sim damage, and no assists (Sim or normal steering) and collisions always on.
And working vote kick button, but that’sgoing off topic.
But well, at this point it’s all speculation what we will have, and will there be banned cars.
It’s not that hard to dodge a racing truck. Racing trucks are slow and bulky so you know full well that one is coming toward you. Also, a failed ram would take ages to recover from.
Actually it is on corner 1 of lap 1 in a decent size lobby. All you need is for the truck to ping pong some cars to create havoc. People do that now already in normal cars. In trucks it’s a bit more effective. It doesn’t take long to recover. The racing semi trucks aren’t slow and trucks in general can be built up to be pretty quick. There’s even some that have run #1 leaderboard times.
In a 1 on 1 situation for many corners it can be fairly easy to avoid.
Interesting. However banning trucks isn’t going to suddenly end first corner carnage. Even if it’s easy for a truck to recover, it will be hard to squeeze between all the cars.
One truck with one livery, by the look of the trailer.
Have a look at the one trailer we have, there’s a brief segment with the Mercedes racing truck racing some other trucks. Those other trucks are all the same truck with the same livery.
Problem with the trucks in normal hoppers is this.
They are an obvious ramming vehicle due to its size.
They can be used to block cars that try to overtake easily and more effectively than other vehicles.
Because of those 2 points I understand why they are absent from standard multiplayer hoppers, however we should get truck vs truck hoppers and I would like the trucks to be present in collisions off hoppers.
