Hey everyone … just wanted to stop in and tell you about a livery resource project I’m working on. I’ve decided to build a website with information, examples and resources for creating accurate replica liveries or authentic-looking original liveries in the Forza games. I know there are lots of great threads around here with some of this information and some great guides and tutorials … but when I starting thinking about the scope of what I wanted to do … I just didn’t see how I would have the space for or control over the content in a thread here that I would have by using my own website.
The first main phase of the project will be to gather info and examples for most of the current racing series across multiple types of racing … formula racing, touring car racing, sports car racing, etc. I have some other ideas for other things down the road … but I’ll see how big of a project this first phase is before moving on. This will be a work in progress for a while as I continue to add content. If any of you have any info or materials that you might like to contribute as the project moves along … I welcome any help or contributions.
Here’s some of what you’ll find on the site’s pages when completed:
Each page will have a brief description of each type of racing … touring cars, sports cars, etc. Within each racing type, series will be grouped together by geography … worldwide, regional, national, etc. For each racing series, there will be a breakdown of classes (if applicable), possibly some brief notes about car or driver specifics and examples of current cars used in the series. Following that will be a Livery Details section that outlines what decals, logos, etc. will typically be found on the cars. I will try to be as specific as possible … but livery regulations or examples may be harder to find for some series. If possible, I will also include sample pictures showing logo or number panel placements. I will also try to include links to clean, hi-res series logos and decals as well.
If you visit the site now, I have completed the Sports Car page for Worldwide series. There you can get a good idea of what to expect as more content is added.
Hopefully this site will develop into a good resource for all Forza painters.
