Wife's 370Z needs new shoes

So I head on over to discount Tire’s website and there is no menu to upgrade to Street or Race tires…

… now I’m lost… Need to step away from FM5 for a while and come back to reality…

Anyway, I know I’m deciding against any run flats. I scroll down a bit and see this brand Continental… Very highly rated by customers. Strange because I have never heard or seen them before. I have typically gone with Bridgestone or Yokohama… Tried Pirelli’s on some of my earlier sports cars and those burn off quick. Don’t need that because you cannot rotate the tires on the Z.

Any feedback on Continental’s here?

Thanks in Advance…

Honestly, Continental is a good brand of tire. I think people tend to shy away from them because they aren’t well known or a bigger name like Yokohama or Pirelli. Personally, I’ve always had Yokohama. I think they make some of the better tires on the market and last longer than most.

I agree. My 350z came with Yokohama. No matter what, replacement tires for some cars are very expensive. Hot southern roads seem to eat up soft tires quickly as my Firestones on my 300c only lasted 30,000miles. I’m in the same boat…looking for some tires.

So I went to the Discount Tire website and looked at the Yokohoma tires and the Continental tires. Not knowing what year or size of tire your wife’s car has, I just went with a 2010 18" tire. While the Continental has a higher mileage rating than the Yokohama, that also means it’s probably a harder tire and might not ride as smooth as the Yokohama. IMO, I’d go with the Yokohama YK580s.
