Why somebody calls Horizon arcade racer?

hmm, funny. i find GT much harder to play than Fm, no matter if its with a controller or a wheel . Forza uses a lot of assists. btw.you even have a menu option to turn those controller assists off

I can’t talk about wheel because my last GT on a wheel is GT6 and it was pretty good.

No, Motorsport uses only steering assist but nothing else (maybe slight stabilization only). GT has bigger stabilization than Horizon 4 and counter-steering helper. Try to drift in Motorsport and you will see how hard it is.

actually, drifting is easy in Forza. I have a friend who won online races in Forza 6 drifting 70% of the time (so not only in corners, but also on straights). but thats no indicator for realism., anyway, since some cars drift easier than others. and real cars lose grip easily, when you drive too fast.

Yeah, you should try both games. GTS is like NFS against Motorsport.

lol, sure, thats why GT is respected by esports pros and forza isnt… Thats why there is a GT Academy, in which the winner has the chance to enter the real pro sport (which has already happened). that is why Lewis Hammilton plays GT Sports and appears as guest in GT tournaments. I have nothing against Forza, I play it myself. But you have to keep it real, man

Everything, from reviewer’s recommendations to sales and esports reputation shows that forza is the inferior game. Same goes with the graphics when you see that GT on ps4 pro looks better and is technically more advanced than the PC version of Forza 7 (see the digital foundry review).

It’s no big deal when you see how much money and dev time goes into GT, while Turn 10 finishes a forza every other year (well, not this time). Yamauchi, GTs Master Mind, is a real race driver, while Mr. Greenawalt is merely game designer.

anyway, we are going off topic here. Point is, its no shame being a arcade game.

We are talking about reality not some not important stuff. Play the game and tell me why is it so different and why GT needs it.

But yes, Forza is much better. GTS is cool demo.

If talking about driving physics alone, I would say FM7 has some elements that are better than GTS, and some that are worse. Cars in GTS are easier to drive, but then I don’t find cars in real life particularly hard to drive. Are you aware that the producer of GTS actually races in real life?

I’ve seen him talk about doing leg presses in the gym to train for the immense braking forces needed in real life. In GTS you brake hard (unless saving tyres). In FM7 you brake super gently if you want to be able to steer. David Perel (real life GT3 racer) has also talked about how having to brake gently in sims is totally fake and in real race cars you press the brake pedal with every bit of strength you have. So which is more realistic, the game where braking is easy because you brake really hard, just like in real life, or the game with fake difficulty where you brake super gently.

Igor Fraga has shown that there is a lot of transfer of skills between real life and GTS:

For the simulation of everything around a race - championship, qualifying, pit stops, fuel use, tyre wear etc, GTS is in a different class above FM7, and I just don’t see how anyone can disagree with this, the difference is so huge.

well, everyone is entitled to have an opinion :grinning::grin::rofl:
Well,what do I expect at a forza forum…

The physics are on the simulation side of the spectrum, but they’re not full sim. There are a shocking number of things calculated, like airflow, tire heat, minor things that the average player probably doesn’t think about. However certain harsh interactions, like bump transfer on a tight suspension, or regaining static friction, are smoothed out a bit in order to help with situations where the car changes surfaces or controller/keyboard operation in general.

It’s better then most games, and well within my tolerance levels (I abhor arcade physics), but it’s not full sim.
