im just wondering cause i always used to play it on my xbx360 but since i upgraded to seires s it wont let me play it

Not sure what’s up. I had it on disc and am able to play on my Series X as long as I insert the disc.
Series S has no disk drive. To play backwards compatible games from disk, you have to first insert the disk, which means you need an Xbox One or Series X, unfortunately.

Presumably if they have the disc and a Series S, they would have already figured out why they can’t insert the disc. So they probably have the digital version. Otherwise this thread would be strange.
It’s one reason I went with the Series X.
From the OP’s comment I inferred that they hadn’t got it on digital as well as disk, and were wondering if there was some work around, but I see your point.

Also, have you uploaded your 360 game save to the Xbox cloud? You need the latter to retain your progress on the newer consoles.

That’s the issue. Your game requires inserting the disc to play on any xbox to verify that you actually have the game and didn’t sell it or give it away. No disc drive on the S means you cannot insert the disc means you cannot play it. Sorry.
but you can load save data from the cloud which you can get your old games on there
Maybe your save data but you still cannot start the game without the disc. Saved data (even if it could sync without the game starting) does you no good.
ohhh ok i thought you could take save data from the cloud and see that you had it which means I could either buy it or get it for free seen as I owned it that’s all
Nope. There’s a difference between proving you had it by having saved data and proving you still own it by inserting the physical disc.
