Hi there!
As with many games, I was overwhelmed with the options of different versions for pre-order. Standard, Deluxe, Ultimate, Gamestop Bonus, Amazon Bonus, and so on, that I missed to pre order this game…
The main reason, why I play the Horizon series is, that I love the Locations and the Music.
The Cars are… Cars. But there is one brand I´m looking to get all the cars available in every racing game. Koenigsegg.
I´ve heard, that there is more than one Koenigsegg model in FH3.
Which version would be the best fit for me, who mainly wants the game and the Koenigsegss, but not VIP, all available cars, add ons etc.
I´m at rank 6 in the Forza Hub and my last VIP membership was in Forza 4.
Do I have to buy one of the expensive versions, to get all Koenigseggs, or is it better for me to buy the standard game and an add-on to obtain the Koenigseggs or can I even just buy the standard game and spend real money just for the three(?) Koenigseggs?
Or is it even impossible for me to get all available Koenigseggs, cause I missed a pre-order or because I wasnßt VIP in FH2/F6?
Thanks everyone who helps me to find out, whcih version fits best for me
There are 3 Koenigseggs in the game:
2016 Koenigsegg Regera
2015 Koenigsegg One:1
2011 Koenigsegg Agera
The Regera requires VIP, which you can get either from the Deluxe Edition (included) or the Standard Edition + VIP as a separate add-on. Both approaches will cost the same ($80 or $60 +$20).
The One:1 is a Loyalty Reward if you’ve owned VIP for FM6 or FH2 (other previous game VIP ownership doesn’t count). Otherwise the One:1 and Agera are available in the game to all players of all editions.
You can see car lists in my spreadsheet at www.ManteoMax.com or Milouse’s online database at www.kudosprime.com
Great, thank you ManteoMax, that helped me a lot!
Good to know, that the One:1 is available as normally.
Stick with your standard edition. the vip pass isnt worth it, so is the Regera.
That was one of my worries when I didnt have the game: “what if the regera is a serious car and I have to buy the deluxe version just to get it”… no, is isnt all that. Same as Lamborghini Veneno, priced as hell, and not worth the damage.
Play with the Koenig One, and also I suggest the Ferrari Enzo for an unstoppable and well balanced car.
Save your money for the map expansions.
The Regera in this game is based on pre-production model.(Chassis #114, Light blue.)
It’s heavier and slower then production model(Chassis #126 Candy apple red with Carbon stripe on hood and side)
and some details are different.
I’m worry about they would not update the car on next Forza series.
The One:1 is a handful. I spent quite a bit of time trying to get it easier to drive, and in the end decided I had better cars in my stable capable of that performance. It’s quite expensive, which is why I bring this up. I’m not sorry I got it, but I hardly ever take it out anymore. If you love Koenigseggs, though, it’s quite a lovely beast.
Im curious with your setup. Can you tell us what was your problem and how you solved it? Is your tuning setup available in the game?
The only way I can be happy with cars with so much low-end grunt is to swap in an AWD drivetrain (unless they come that way, like the Lambos). That changes the handling drastically, which must then be massaged to increase bite in the front and loosen the glue-like asphalt grip on the rear. I’ve been learning as I go, but I don’t think I’m nearly as good as the best tuners out there. I really wouldn’t know who is the best out there, though. (I don’t like using other people’s tunes because they lock me completely out of the setup for my car. This is a problem I’ve had with Forza games all along. I understand that we shouldn’t be able to steal other people’s work, but the way it’s handled here takes all control away from you. It’s like the car no longer belongs to you, and you are just borrowing it.)
I suggest you check out the AWD tunes available, see if one fits your style. Popularity is no guarantee of quality, but it’s a start.
Edit: Talking about the One:1 got me thinking about it, and I decided to take it out. After a few more minor tweaks, I went to Goliath, and managed to run a 9:51.391 clean lap in a 1-lap race. A Bugatti Veyron came in second with a 10:18.301. Granted, the car is in unlimited territory (X999, as was the Veyron). That’s the problem with it I had forgotten. Just going AWD makes the car difficult to keep down in S2. So I use it the same way I do my Ultima GTR, as a fun road scorcher, with no thought for classes.
The performance is tops, as expected, but the brakes are ridiculously good too. Not only can you stop quickly; you can also turn better as the brakes are applied carefully, and even give it some throttle while braking to get a decent turn-in. That’s unusual, at least to me.
I don’t like the fact that koenigsegg one:1’s four wheel drive pust the speed down to 7.6…
You can always fix that by tuning the gear ratios, I got mine to around 430kph top speed even with AWD
