wheres my draft?

so just gave the new “horrible stock car on this track” lobby a go,

i dont get any draft of people, i pull in behind, and they slowly drive into the distance,
i look behind me, and i have someone catching me, quite fast,
let them pass, and pull in behind, nothing…

we were at le mans, with that AWD audi prototype…

i did not have any issues with weak connection…
this used to happen quite a lot, in private lobbies, when most of the drivers were from euro land, (im in australia)
but this wasn’t the case, most were Australian, and US players…

is this a known issue, and what are the chances this will get fixed, i know this is forza, and i dont expect quick fixes, but its a little annoying…

Are you using automatic shifting, or manual shifting, or manual with clutch?

You might just be slower as you say you had someone behind you catching up fast (remember they have no draft either).
It is well known that there is minimal if any draft effect in this game.
The only time it really happens if you are literally on the [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] of the car infront and the edges of the screen darken. Until that point, there is no draft effect.

Well, no draft benefit might be more accurate.

Depending on details, a car less than 100’ in front of behind you will dirty your lap while providing no benefit I can identify. I’m not that concerned about a dirty lap indicator, or expecting to post LB times while in a circuit race, but I do wish there were some way to discern cutting or impact dirty vs some hypothetical 0.0001% supposed draft benefit.

The draft needs work in this game for sure. I haven’t personally experienced not getting any draft effect in a situation where I could confirm that I wasn’t getting any effect.

The draft does work in terms of giving a speed boost, but the problem that often makes it seem non-existent is that you push the car in front from a big distance back. The speed you gain in the draft just pushes them up to your speed and you gain nothing. Unless there is another car around that isn’t in the draft that you can cruise past, you won’t notice it even working.

It definitely needs adjusting.
