This is my firstForza game. I pre ordered this game 7 days before launch (20th of September) via Windows Store on Windows 10. It says in capital letters if we pre order the game before the 27th we get to receive 2 car packs for free. Now its the 29th and I still don’t see it in game. What happened?
They are a separate download, If using xbox1 go to manage game and you’ll see them there ready to download.
Those 2 cars packs are for 2 previous Forza games I believe. ones for Forza Horizon 2 and one for Forza Motorsports 6.

The two packs contain cars from Forza horizon 2 and Forza 6. Al ot of people think they are for them but they are not. Both packs are for Forza horizon 3. I have played both in Forza horizon 3.
No, they are not for FH3. The cars are in FH3 natively and are not part of the DLC. The DLC is specifically for those two car packs for their respective games.
People ‘think’ they are for FM6 and FH2 because they are and it is listed in the description as such.

I can guarantee if you check your installed items for FH3, you will NOT find either of those two car packs.

That is not what the Microsoft store ad said for the last month or so… they must of changed it a day or so ago. This is a sore subject with me, it used to say something less specific. What’s the all the fuzzy truths nowadays? I’m not knocking the game, it’s great.

This right here! This, is the facts as provided in the ‘fine print’ both on this site, and the xbox store for the Ultimate Edition. Of which I have also purchased.

They are for for Horizon 3, I downloaded both as DLC for Horizon 3 and both showed up as DLC in the game. Neither appeared for Forza 6 or Horizon 2 of which i own both.

No…they aren’t. Even the description on the MS website says they are for FM6 and FH2.
Provide a screenshot of the content installed on your XBone under FH3 and then you can prove otherwise.

So…I may be wrong, went to take the screenshots but the two DLC i have are the motorsport all stars pack and and car pack included in the VIP package. I honestly thought i had the DLC the OP mentions, I apologise for my mistake. Does make me wonder where those two packs are though, having checked Forza 6 and Forza Horizon 2, they are not there.
Have you tried checking under ‘Ready to Install’ under ‘Manage Game’ for both FHS and FM6? They may be there, but not installed.
Try to access them through the market place, it may work similarly to the car pass. The car pass gives you access to the DLC for free but you still need to “purchase” it off of the market place, it would not surprise me if those two downloads worked in a similar way.

Why did they include this DLC for another title. Kinda bummed about that. Was looking forward to having more than just 1 preorder car.
to promote their other games of course, they did the same with Forza 6 as well
