If your preload hasn’t started yet, try uninstalling the main game file and reinstalling, that’s how mine started downloading.

Main game has preloaded, but sadly not the VIP pack or presumably the other DLCs. Guess we’ll get a big day one patch.
The whole “data” for the DLCs is included in the main game. If purchased, you only have the ~ 10 MB files to unlock for every DLC you own. It was the same in FM5 and FH2.
Otherwise everybody who don’t bought the DLC wouldn’t be able to “see” every of your extra-money cars you or your drivatar are driving.
This happend in previous versions and the result was the famous “Null Car” click

I had to pause the install to download the demo. It looks like everything is fully installed now and ready to rock on the 10th.
It took 11 hours but forza 6 has landed 
mine did it yesterday late afternoon into the evening. Also if it does it while you are not around or while your sleeping you can go into SYSTEM SETTING, NETWORKING, and then check you DATA USAGE and if you see a timeframe there where it dumped 45 gigs or so,Its safe to say it pre loaded completely

Ordered it Wednesday, and it finished preloading Thursday afternoon.
bought the ultimate edition about a day ago, at 80% now. downloading games takes me about 30-35 hours… thank god for pre loading
I bought it today and it took about 6 hours to download; better off doing it now when it’s quiet than on September 10 when everybody wants to connect to the Microsoft servers.
I don’t even know how to tell if mine downloaded it, but if it did I’m guessing it was on August 31st from looking at the data usage on the console.
I bought the Ultimate Edition last night and let it download overnight - even so it took 16 hours on my modest ISP.
My brother has pre-ordered Forza 6 from the Xbox Store even before the full game was available there. Then the product page of the game only showed a 129 MB file. He pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition, and now it sits there, showing 44+ GB (the size of the full game), but the game itself is sure not have been downloaded yet. My question is, how can he pre-download the game? If he goes into the “Manage Game” menu he only sees the option to uninstall, but not to download. Judging from the used space on the HDD, the game is sure not downloaded. So how does this work? Will he be able to play on release day, or will the game only begin download at that time? What should he do? Thanks.
The game starts downloading before the release date, but you won’t be able to play it until “it’s time”. Time being September 10th for the Ultimate, and 15th-18th for the rest.
Pre-load started days ago, but some people have been having to uninstall the placeholder you’re seeing now, and then re-download everything to get it to actually install the full game.
Yeah, uninstall the placeholder than reinstall. It will download all the files currently avaliable (ie. main game, VIP pack, Anniversary pack, but no Car Pass content)
I bought the ultimate edition and shows 65mb downloaded of dlc content , the game itself shows 0gb
Mine says 100% downloaded and ready to play on the 10th (Probably 11th in Australia)
