I just bought a Logitech G920 with the H-pattern shifter and I’m wondering if you guys had any recommendations for a wheel stand with a good shifter mount.

I don’t have room for a full cockpit (seat + mounts), so I’m looking just for a wheel stand.

I would love to have a stand that puts the shifter down near my knee, rather than up near the steering wheel. The G920 shifter mounts pretty nicely to the table I’m using right now, so really I just want something solid that puts the shifter down near my knee.

I’ve been looking at the GT Omega wheel stand because the v1 shifter mount looks like it’s exactly what I want. But I thought I’d get some feedback from other wheel users.

The Wheel Stand Pro I’ve also read is quite good, but it doesn’t put the shifter where I’d like it.

This is the wheel stand I am planning to buy. It says it comes with two shifter mounts, one of which places the shifter down low like in a real car.

Another added bonus is you can buy the racing seat add-on at a later time if you want to turn it into a full rig.

This wheel stand is also pre drilled to accommodate most wheels currently on the market including the g920.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for posting this suggestion. It can be expanded to become a full racing rig, and it has a great deal of adjustability. And the stand is only $150? Oh yeah!

I know you asked about stands, but the play seat i have is pretty compact and the seat folds. Works great with my g920 after moving brake and clutch to full left adjustment.

I have the GT Omega wheel stand and I highly recommend it. A great feature is that it’s so easy to quickly set up and put away. Also it is very sturdy. I used to own a wheel stand pro but did not like the centre pole between the legs so I purchased the GT Omega and do not regret it. Another alternative is The Next level wheel stand, more info below

I can’t comment on the shifter mount for the Gt Omega Stand as I do not own a shifter yet, but they do offer 2 alternatives for the mount.

I own a fanatec wheel stand and it comes with a shifter plate to directly mount the Logitech H-shifter. Fully compatible with the g920.

I think I’m going to go with a Next Level stand. Most of the reviews say it’s the most sturdy and at a decent price.

The GT Omega doesn’t even appear to be in stock at the moment and you have to contact them by phone to order for shipment to the U.S. :-/
