I don’t know about you but sometimes i get obsessed about finding “just the right paint” for a car. So i thought it would be a fun topic for everyone to show off their cars and paint jobs/liveries that you think fit best. I know it’s all subjective and you might have more than just ONE favorite paint job as i can see lots of players have multiple versions of their cars.
Regardless, feel free to talk about it. Try to drop a sharecode whenever possible. The discussion is also wide open for anything related to car paints like manufacturer paints or special colors. Is there something that you particularly like to use? Is there something you wish the game did better when it comes to paints?
I know it’s all very objective but maybe this gives us a chance to find something new and experience the car list in a different way. I’m personally not very knowledgeable of specific paint names. Every now and then i see one as i search for liveries but i’m bad at remembering names.
Another reason why i post this is because recently i saw a video where they talked about how Gran turismo has this very extensive paints library where you can find so many types of paints and comparing it to forza motorsport which has essentially the same options as horizon. And i gotta say i’m impressed. I wish horizon had something similar.
It’s painful when sometimes manufacturer paints are missing, or certain parts of the car can’t be painted like with the recently added Aston Martin Valkyrie. And just in general i find that extra effort missing. Especially irritating when it’s a returning car and it’s been ported with the same paint options. And so the only way to find the desired paint is to look for it in the" Find new designs" menu. And pray someone made it. Or i’d have to try and replicate it myself. And maybe i’ll get it right, maybe i won’t.
A good example of extra effort would be the F150 lightning which has a special livery for it. (doesn’t have all manufacturer colors tho) But they did this probably because it’s the main car advertising the expansion…
