First started playing with PS3 controller and it was fine, works two weeks then started to switch between keybord and controller = can’t race.

Bought a Xbox one controller since it says it’s compatible and officially the best controller for Forza and pc, works two weeks then started to switch between keybord and controller = can’t race.
Is this a joke? Someone is trying to make fun of me? How do we fix this before I break something?
