As title said.
No matter what I try and even using the Search in game I can’t find the Midnight Purple I’m looking for.
This is the color I wanted, is it possible??
Couldn’t get much from the vid you linked - apart from it’s a sweet motor - so did some Googling and came up with a couple of possibilities for‘Midnight Purple’…
Hex colours converted into HSB for Forza use:
I think the top one might be closer to what you’re looking for or maybe you can strike a balance between the two?
Tks for the replies, I’m gonna try all of them now in game. Would let you know.
Not sure If I know how to post a photo here though lol…
Maybe will just update with words.
I did try a match back in FH3 for Midnight Purple after a request. To check it I put it on a 1997 Skyline with an appropriate visual tune, also called “Midnight Purple”.
Always difficult to get consistent source photos, but I this captures the main features. It’s in FH3, FM7 and FH4.
Hopefully it will be close enough for you, but you can adjust the colours from this basis.
Midnight Purple: 2 tone gloss, base 0.64, 0.80, 0.45, highlight 0.90, 0.81, 0.35.
Car: 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec - File name: Midnight Purple
FH3:

I had a go, not sure that you can get dark colours to work 100%, but anyway I came up with…
Metal Flake
Press X
0.66
1.00
0.38
Enter that by pressing A
Then press Y
0.74
0.78
0.58
Enter that by pressing A
Press A Again
Add it to the wheels by using Previous Colour.
Save it!
Now you need to add some vinyl Squares to the car on the right. Make the square really big to fit all over the car, the Top is really big so you want to cover it all.
The colour of the square should be…
0.63
1.00
0.31
Press A
Then change the square transparency to 19.61
Press A
Then copy the square by pressing X then press Y to paste it back down again
Then go all over the car, and press Y everywhere.
These vinyls reduce the white glare off the sun to get a darker colour.
That’s about it! I don’t know if it’s 100% perfect.
nullWell this is close as it gets…I know it does look bit too much Red / Pink, but when you’re driving around it’s not so obvious.
I think the one shown in FH3 is the best. I used the code in FH3 you’ve given me.
But it doesn’t work well in FH4, I had to adjust the Brightness for both Red / Pink and Blue bit higher. It was too dark.
There is quite a lot of variation in lighting with FH4 depending on which house you’re in or which season or time of day. It’s tricky to get something that looks consistent, especially with the two tone effect of Midnight Purple. Yours is a bit pink in the booth, but I can see it might be better outside. It’s a matter of balancing the base colour and the highlight. Good luck!
Do you mean like these??
R32
R35
R35
The one in the video is a bit mixed with maroon… or too much red to darken it (instead of black mixture) in my opinion, you’ll need to use two tone polished as base color to make the one in the video…, when you use any of the two tone base color, remember the X is the main base color and the Y is the touch up effect color, so you’ll need to make the main base color dark as you would like first before adding touch up coloring…
But if my midnight purple is the one you’re looking for… I have the R34 as well at my creative hub if you’d liked to use it on your car, my GT is PAPAEMY, I just haven’t got the time to take pictures of them as I’m currently updating fixing and redesigning as necessary to all my wrap designs, I got midnight purple for R32 R34 and R35, I was going to do with the R33 as well… but then the AE86 Corolla just came up… so I’m doing the Corolla at the moment to gain more followers while it’s still hot subject…
Hard colour to mix as has a touch of dark red in not just all purples.
I did it on an R33 way back, will see if can work out what i used.

This is a tricky one. I’ve already spent a couple of hours trying to recreate it. I think this would need 3 color combinations, like GT Sport has. Anyway, I think Metal Flake is the best option, although Two-Tone Polished will work almost the same with the same combination. The HSB combination is: Y-Option 0.05/0.75/0.30, X-Option 0.675/0.75/0.30.
Honestly since I seen this post I’ve been working on a solution came close but not quite what I’m looking for
Are you sure it’s the Midnight Purple III? That one is from R35, R34 had the Midnight Purple II.
I’ve been looking at the original color again closely to refresh how it looks like. I actually want the Midnight Purple II too.
There are 3, if not 4 colors in there. With 3 you can only do as AquaPainter168 already suggested, put on a transparent colored whole-body vinyl. So far, I came up with this:
Body
Color Metal Flake
Y - 0.10/0.90/0.35; X - 0.925/0.90/0.25
Vinyl
74,90% transparency
0.65/0.80/0.20
Mirrors/Wing/Wheels
Y - 0.975/0.75/0.30; X - 0.75/.075/0.30
This is how it looks like:
This is what I came up with but will work more on it

Well, it’s green :D. Should transition to gold, no?
I reworked the color dunno if it’s more what your looking for

I’ve got mine that I posted above and like. I’m not the thread author.
I think I’ve got it pretty close I don’t know how to attach pictures on here but I used metal flake
Press X for base color
Hue: 94
Saturation: 98
Brightness: 26 or 30
Press A to save and then Y for highlight color
Hue: 67
Saturation: 1.00
Brightness: 25
I’ll try to post pictures of the paint but that’s what I got
So I found a really close colour, what you do is fine tune the ‘two tone polished‘ and tune the colour so it’s H: 0.78
S: 0.97 and B: 0.44
I like HotRodKing’s colour, it is amazing!
Still love this design, the carbon wings with vents is still incredible
