What is it with a car being a snake and a horse at the same time?

Is there a short version of why some cars are both a Cobra and a [redacted]?

Could probably do an internet search but it can be quite entertaining here!

Even more confusing with Vipers but at least that’s a different manufacturer (and snake). Maybe they’re also called, what, donkeys or zebras . . . ?

Carrol Shelby begat Cobra, Cobra Begat Shelby Mustang, Ford retained “Cobra” nameplate after split (partially due to “Cobra Jet” name from FE Ford engines). Then the 70’s happened and you get this…

Hey now! I didn’t once mention the [redacted] EV thing. I didn’t even get into the SVT Cobra years…

The Shelby Cobra Mustang (there, I said it) is a Snake and a Horse. Therefore, it is a Snorse.

Ok, I’ll bite & I know I’ll regret it, but even the Forum is growing stale these days sooo: technically, it’s a “Cobrang”

Now if we go into it a step further to consider the origins of the Mustang name, obviously representing the wild free spirit of America, vs the Cobra, which is indigenous to basically parts of Asia & Africa…

Naw… I like Snorse better. It sounds kinda like a cough and a sneeze it would make trying to keep up with a Mopar.

Cobrang is more like something you would tel your wife… Cobrang me anutter coolun! (Cuse uses can’t say that brewed yeast drink on the forums)

yeast is used in production of various products, notably bread and beer (aka ale), cider and wine with attendant distilled versions

hm, “beer” seems to be okay

“ale” is from Viking and I believe it was (maybe still is) the same word as oil (well, not in English these days); it is synonymous with beer rather than being something different, though a lot of people I’ve met swear blind there’s a difference - still, I don’t mind being wrong

“snorse” made me think of Vikings, you see

on that note, I always felt there might be a little more (eg, 3000 explorer influence) to the viking shields dotted around in Horizon 4; the colours of Horizon 4 and AC Valhalla are pretty good, the main maps of both cover similar areas, there are Viking shields dotted around in both . . . actually maybe only Fortune Island and they weren’t going to put 3000 influence there . . . but even so I did wonder if that missing influence might in some way be related to an AC Valhalla easter egg - thing is with no comment at all from PGT10 about it we assume that either they really aren’t interested (most likely) or something hasn’t been found even now

now what was this thread about again?
