What happened to the Coop & PVP specific Seasonal Championship rewards?

Not that it mattered before as they didn’t even work, but now the PVP Championships which have no AI at all shows “Place First Against Expert Drivatars” for the top tier reward preview rather than the general Place 2nd or better like it used to for the PVP Championship’s Super Wheelspin reward. It makes no sense that all have the same goals and rewards as Solo now.

Is it just a menu thing? Do the PVP Championships still give their proper rewards (Super Wheelspin, Wheelspin, 5000Cr.)? I only tried them after to the patch on the 23rd to confirm they were fixed and working, which they were (but Coop & Trials were still broken). Now this added wrinkle which made the PVP fix seem quite brief. Very confusing.

No! The Devs think that you shouldn’t get any superwheelspins that’s why when you saw it last month they didn’t work and that’s why they completely remove them now. (sarcasm)
Also they think that the emotion is the thing we wish the most! Not the car or at least a chance to win a car.

Confirmed for myself it’s not a menu thing. I just placed first in the “Bad to the Bone” PVP Championship and this was the post-championship rewards screen:

Of course they say incomplete and I won absolutely nothing because there’s no Drivatars in PVP, haha. Why can they still not get this stuff right? The PVP Championships worked fine for a few days after the patch on the 23rd, now they’re completely screwed up again in a different way. So frustrating.

same thing happened to me too. just showed ai rewards despite i won pvp.

Can confirm this, they REWARD now just for completing the TRIAL… We needed this fix for getting the green-man-suit, but now for the horn it’s much cheaper :wink:
But hey at least a HOT fix. Just downloading the update, any news on this topic what the client update will change?

I posted this in the technical support forums already, but as of today’s patch, the PVP Championships are fixed and functional again (for now),

However, now the Coop Championships are sharing the same PVP goals and rewards instead of being their own specific ones. Coop objectives and rewards have never worked before anyway, but before being tied to the same goals as Solo and now PVP in the game they were about beating a team of Drivatars on a specific difficulty with your team of players, generally higher difficulties than the Solo ones. Which was interesting, had they actually functioned properly.

I do not understand how a 5th Place finish is pertinent to a team-based coop race where there’s always just the one team winner and other team as the loser. I have assume it’s still broken, same as the last few seasons when it showed the Solo objectives instead.
