They had been non-functional since launch, but the PVP Seasonal Championships’ completion requirements and rewards did actually work for a few days after the Update on October 23rd which fixed them. The original requirements were to Finish 2nd Place or better, 3rd Place, or 5th Place. Here is an image I made of them actually completing after this update back on the 23rd:
However, once the season changed from Spring to Summer on the 25th of October, the requirements changed from these PVP specific goals to the same goals as Solo, which always involve beating Drivatars on three different Difficulties. The issue here is that there are no Drivatars in Online PVP races and the goals never complete, and this issue has continued from Summer into the current season of Autumn.

Obviously didn’t complete any of the goals because it’s a PVP race. It’s been like this for all of Summer and now all of Autumn, and it’s not just a menu or visual glitch - the original PVP goals of finishing 2nd / 3rd / 5th or better are not working in the background - coming in 1st Place at the end there was no handing out of rewards that were once associated with them (Super Wheelspins / Wheelspins / 5000Cr) which were actually functional for the few days after the Update on the 23rd. It’s worth mentioning the Coop Seasonal Championships similarly have the same goals as the Solo ones now as well. Unlike PVP, they’ve always had goals to beat Drivatars (similar to Solo), but the requirements and rewards were usually different than the Solo ones. I’m not sure if those are actually functional or not, I’ve only attempted PVP Championships post-update since it was widely reported that the Coop ones (and also the Trial) were still broken after the Update on the 23rd.
I’m not sure what’s going with all this and why it’s been so difficult to get this portion of the limited Seasonal Events (which are highly promoted in and out of the game) working properly, but I really hope the team can do the proper QA and testing and fix them once and for all soon. There’s nothing I can do beyond post about it like this and submit the support ticket (which I have). Thanks and good luck.
