OK, no problem. Because AWD is with grippy Horizon very strange, that was my main problem. I was thinking if RWD has any advantages and it looked like none. But currently when I play with RWD only it doesn’t look that bad at all.
Sorry, I misinterpreted part of Your Comment as an Attack, My Bad there, Please Remember, I have Learning Difficulties so I am very Prone to Interpreting things Wrongly! ![]()
Again, I have already Explained, as I cannot Engage in the Multiplayer side of the Game due to My Learning Difficulties and Mental Health Issues which leave Me unable to Cope with Online Multiplayer (I can cope Fine with Splitscreen and Bots, but Playground is Refusing to Implement such a System for Some Reason, come on, if something as Comparatively Slow and Underpowered as a Nintendo 64 Could Handle Splitscreen with Bots, then even a Base Xbox One should have no problems in Running Split Screen Multiplayer with Bots what so ever!) the Only way I can get My Money’s Worth out of a Forza Game is to Collect Every Car within it, so for Me, I actually Do need every Car! as that is what I have Paid For! So I need every Car to get My Moneys Worth!
I do Agree that Horizon has lost its Focus, it doesn’t want to be a Racing Game anymore, it wants to be Fortnite with Cars, which, indeed, Nobody asked For.
Indeed, the PI System is completely Broken and needs a Massive Change.
Indeed, all MS seems to be Interested in is having Large Number of People Constantly Playing the Game so they can Impress their Shareholders! They don’t seem to Care about making a Good Game, only about Creating ever more Frustrating and ill Willed Ways of Giving Players an Increasingly Large dose of the "Concorde Effect"to Force them to keep Playing to “open” as Many of the Arbitrary Locking Gates as they Can in order get Content they have Paid for so they don’t feel Like they just Wasted the Past Year and/or their £100!
Indeed, FH4 is just yet another Also-Ran Live Services Disappointment, as Live Service Games will only Ever be a Disappointment IMO, rather than the Genre Defining Pinnacle that FH2/3 showed that the Series can Be, Its Only Distinctions are that it has a Half Decent Handling Model and a Unique Game Setting, even if it is Badly Implemented with a Too Small Map, Poor Road Design, and Depressing Weather.
That’s not enough to have Me Return to the Series, so, as I have said in other Threads, if this “Live Services” Garbage is the Future of Forza, then I am Done with Forza and the Xbox System itself for Good!
Thanks for the Warning on Assetto Corsa by the Way, I know now not to Buy it until/Unless I can find the Money and the Room for a Wheel and Pedals! So Thank You Tonnes for that One, as You just saved Me £15! ![]()
Thanks for the Advice TurtleCZ. I actually find PC2 Perfectly Playable even In Career on a Controller, as I have set the Deadzones to Flat Zero for Instant Response. But it does seem I am going to have to Avoid AC until/Unless I can afford, and find the Space for, a Steering Wheel and Pedals.
Thanks anyway though!
It is the future of Horizon, hopefully not Motorsport but this junk from Horizon seems to creep its way in. I am worried about the future of Forza in general. Perhaps its greatest days were in the past. I would spend more time with GT Sport but having zero trigger feedback just makes it difficult after you get used to that in Forza. I must add that I never before F7 had all the cars or felt any need to have them all. I could buy the rest of the cars in H3 or F6 right now but I just don’t care.
Agreed, like You, I hope that this is not going to Infect Motorsport, Especially as FM7 has now taken the Correct Path by adding all the Locked Cars into the Autoshow, adding the Pre Order Hoonigan and Formula Drift Packs to the Car Pass, and Removing the Lootboxes Entirely, so I can get all the Cars. As soon as FM7 is £30 in an XBL Sale, so long as the DLC is Still available, I will Buy the Digital Ultimate as a Replacement for FH4 as I will at least be able to get My Moneys Worth from it!
Indeed, if the Junk from Horizon creeps in to Motorsport, after all, Cosmetics got added to FM7 as well, then Motorsport could be Finished, as it is just going to get Buried by its Rivals!
Yup, I am extremely Worried about the Future of Forza, especially as there have been Very Disturbing Rumours that FM8 may not have a Single Player Mode at all and might be Online Mutliplayer Only (I really hope those Rumours are Fake News!) in fact, with Microsofts Continual Drive to make everything Social or Multiplayer Only, and always a “Live Service” I am extremely Concerned about the Future of the Xbox brand, as there are lots Of Players out there who prefer Single Player, and those Players will Probably go to Sony, Nintendo, or, if they have enough Money, the PC come next Generation as they will have more Single Player Titles available compared to Xbox.
We have very Different Views on how We get our Moneys worth out of a Game it seems, and that is Fine.
Indeed, I just don’t really care about Forza or Microsoft anymore, I am completely Burned out with FH4, I probably wouldn’t even be Playing it now if it wasn’t for the fact I don’t want to waste the Last Year and My £100, the Aforementioned Concorde Effect, by Giving Up before I have a Replacement title Available.
What a Terrible End to a Once Great Franchise. From a Gran Turismo Wannabe in FM1, To a Gran Turismo Killer by FM4, to an NFS Killer with FM2 and 3… to just another Also Ran Live Services Disappointment that I can barely bring Myself to even Play, and only Force Myself to do so due to the Concorde Effect with FH4. ![]()
What’s the old Saying “this is how the World Dies, not with a Bang, but a Whimper” ? I think that Saying is very True with Forza right about now.
I just hope that they Can change Direction back to where FH2 was with FH5, but, like You, I am not going to hold My Breath.
To me AWD in Horizon feels more similar to RWD in Motorsport anyway. I cannot drive AWD at all in Motorsport, they just don’t turn the way I like. In Horizon they do for some reason. It’s my fault for taking the easy way out. I spend most of my time in Motorsport and have spent way more time in Motorsport developing skills than in Horizon. Nobody who played H2 wanted to play this anymore. We had a big club but now there is nobody left pretty much. I met most of the people I still know playing H2. Haven’t met anyone playing H4. The so called social aspect is gone for me. I had joined a random club and eventually met the people in it. Club is meaningless now. They really missed the mark in this game. No MP in expansions- a shame because Lego has some good tracks with curbs and Treasure Island or whatever it’s called had great Cross country potential like Storm Island. I don’t know what happened at PG but it isn’t good. Meanwhile they pat themselves on the back for critical success as it strays further and further away form what made it great in the past.
PG is Now wholly owned by an American Mega Corporation, Microsoft, and are now just yet another AAA Drone-Hive, when they used to be Independent, and although they operated in the AAA Sphere, they still clearly had that “Garage” Mentality of a “AA Big Indie” Studio.
That is what Happened at PG.
Basically, Microsoft, has, In My Personal Opinion, Asset Stripped Playground of their Very Soul! which is why FH4 is also completely, well, Soulless IMO, and why it feels More like an Evil Alliance, Activ$ion or Bugthesda Game, just yet another Generic, Soulless and Incomplete “Live Service” Product of yet another Faceless and Uncaring AAA Corporate Drone Hive, rather than a Playground Game, which felt more Like the Products of a Project Gotham Racing 2 Era Bizarre Creations (who Playground Spawned from), a Passionate, Determined and Caring “Big Indie” Developer Per Excellence, taken to their Logical Evolutionary Conclusion.
What a Shame
the American Mega Corporates Ruin everything they Touch, and FH4 I am afraid, is just Yet more Proof of that.
@Leetorts I agree about the social aspect of Forza Horizon being long gone, just like how the social of the aspect of Forza Motorsport is long gone, a.k.a. when the current generation of consoles came in. As for Horizon 2, that is the last game which I enjoyed the online part. Now with FH4, I only play to get new rewards without going too much out of my way, and get to older Forza games until there are new events. With the very long loading times in FH4. I don’t have the interest to pour time like I used to. All other Forza games, especially FH3 and FH2, load tremendously faster, it’s at least 2 times less long.
Not going to miss the dances and clothing in the next game at all, I’m ok with the wheel spins, but when I’m wasting super wheelspins getting clothes there is no point to them.
What I hope to don’t have in FH5:
- Clothes
- Dances
- Quick chat
- Recycled engine sounds
- Bugs and glitches
- Hard-to-Find cars
- Weekly Car Pass (I prefer the monthly Car Pack method)
- Seasonal Playlists
- Great focus on multiplayer mode
- Low sensation of speed (you can see that if you compare with the previous games)
Anything involving a “team”.
