What a buggy mess :/

the amount of bugs is ridiculous. The worst part is that I really do like the game, but it makes it impossible to just have a sitting with all the frustration going on. Hangs on match find, hangs after practices, hangs on map change, each time I wait 5 minutes, there’s no message telling me what’s going, need to close the game. Play for a while and the whole track goes transparent. I really hope devs fix this asap, it’s a lot to “forgive” for a user who paid the price for a released game (supposedly working). Hurry up

You know who likes bugs? Lizards… T10 confirmed lizard people

Hey, dont be so worried.
Turn 10 is an Indie Studio who build this game in only 6 years from scratch. So the number of bugs and missing content is fully understandable.
If they were a big studio which has released 7 or more similar games in the past…

every single game I have a new bug, wouldn’t the idea of starting from scratch be to make things right?

I haven’t had any of these problems - at least in part because I don’t do multiplayer - but I did experience a performance dip that eventually resulted in a crash which felt like a memory leak.

Just played against you, small world man!

you were right behind me, we had a small “fight”, you were better than me, but I got lucky

so this post was made on October 2023, now it’s March 2024 and the same bugs still remain… with the additions of some others, of course

With every update, new bugs.

Turning off AI liveries fixed all my problems. I don’t get FPS drops after 3 races anymore, no additional stuttering or anything else. It’s like the memory leak problem is solved for me.

I wish they would fix the liveries problem.

I fixed my disconnects and load screen hangs yesterday.
Windows updated runtime with a cumulative update KB5039211 that is 531mb but windows only allocates a 450mb cache. Constantly fails on gen9 and lower cpu’s. Reason for constant load screen hangs. Forza must have updated to new runtime update 9, which made this issue MUCH worse.
Have a batchfile to install that update at start-up. Fixed.
Teredo is seen as a threat by defender and most av’s. The default teredo server is also fubar. Have a batchfile to qualify Teredo. No more disconnects. I couldn’t even make it through a practice before this fix without being dumped out of the race.
Xbox live is duplicating tokens in credentials manager. My CM looks like this after just a few hours playing.

I have a batchfile to delete all XBL entries. It is painful doing it manually every time you want to launch (and you have to).

DM me if you want these fixes before Forza adds them to their useless troubleshooting suggestions. I have shared them with support, and they are actually communicating.

You’ve done more troubleshooting than anyone should ever have to for a video game, well done finding this.

Been here since the OG Forza.

Customer loyalty abuse 101.

Now playing on ultra settings, no raytracing @1080p/stable 60fps.
Single thread I57500, 2060, and potato motherboard.

No crashes or hangs at all since applying these fixes.

I know I ruled out every Teredo problems before I upgraded to Win 11. After upgrading to Win 11 I have no influence on it anymore because there it basicly doesn’t exist. But Teredo doesn’t cause crashes it only causes network problems. And I already played with OPEN NAT TYPE what would mean PERFECT TEREDO because I turned OFF my firewall. But that doesn’t change ANYTHING about the loadscreen crashes. I also already had loadscreens back to mainmenu that didn’t freeze my game, it’s random I think.

So please don’t think you have THE SOLUTION, because it’s not.

The majority of ppl has this problem, I think EVERYBODY has the freezes. We won’t have to try some fixes.

Up to a certain point I was still able to use the X-Box App or whatever it was called to test Teredo in Win11 but at some point they stopped support for that. But I noticed whenever I had OPEN NAT TYPE that Teredo worked perfectly fine. And whenever I play a game online I activate OPEN NAT TYPE by using “Exposed Host” feature that is set to my manual set IP address. No I don’t have any problem on my end, I know for a fact it all works. And you don’t need OPEN NAT TYPE to play Singleplayer you never did. I wouldn’t be able to play any other P2P game without problems if it didn’t work right for me.

So no Teredo is probably not the cause for the freezes that happen if you try to go back to loadscreen.

Some ppl don’t know anything about ports, firewall and all that but I certainly do.

Getting more avenues to go down from the members than the developers or community managers!

Fun to read what alleviates the crashing for some, then when Turn10 figure out that they are now enjoying the game they will find a way to stop that from happening.

The sad fact is that I’m not being sarcastic. I honestly feel that the developers do this on purpose, what other developer/games studios have zero interaction with the community and let troubleshooting issue pile up for months without acknowledging them?

Teredo issues cause the constant disconnects.

It’s the new runtime in the fail-update from windows that caused the crashes for me.

I was experiencing the lot lol.

Are you literally using one thread to run the game ? As in one core ?

I made sure my Teredo works as intended BEFORE I upgraded to Win11. And in my case it all works fine. Well in MP.

I can tell you one thing, Teredo doesn’t cause the loadscreen freezes. Because I already tried it with OPEN NAT TYPE. It still freezes with OPEN NAT TYPE it doesn’t change a thing.
