As someone who rarely has $60 for a new game, much less $100, we normally are never able to buy anything but the base game at launch. This is the case for this game. We bought the standard edition, then recently added the Hot Wheels pack (my 8yo LOVES Hot Wheels). Now I see the discounts all over xbox right now, but the only way to get the ultimate edition is to buy the base game included. Games like the previous Battlefield titles have their extra content as a premium addon, so why can’t we get something like that for Forza?
You can buy whatever is in the ultimate edition separately
It only contained the vip pass and car pass differently than the standard edition so you can upgrade the way you want to
The expansions were extra also
Any edition is the base game with different add-ons at a discounted price. I think you’re trying to say you’d rather get a refund on the standard edition, then buy it again with all the additional content at a cheaper price than you originally bought the base game?
Like mentioned, the game that you play, is the exact same roads, originally included cars, events, races, etc in the standard version, as it is the deluxe and ultimate.
If you wanted VIP, and the car pass, and early access, then ultimate on a pre order. But it’s obviously too late for early access. Even if you had the car pass, that only included the first 6 car packs, after that, they are purchased individually. You can buy any of the add-ons individually at any time, and the do go on sale from time to time, generally NOT when the game itself is currently discounted though.
I guess what I am saying is that at normal price the ultimate edition is $40 more. So I think we need an option to pay only that $40 to get the upgrade and the price for the upgrade can then be discounted accordingly with any promotions(such as the ones going on now).
No, that would defeat the purpose of having the ultimate edition. Buy the add ons when they’re on sale.
