I’m waiting for a good sale, I may pick up a digital copy just so I don’t have to keep the disc in the drive. One feature MS revealed initially that I’m bummed they killed off: not having to keep the disc in the drive.
I Think Disk Owner’s That Can Prove Purchase/Receipt. Should Get A Free Digital Game Code E-Mailed to them or Messaged To Them. Cause you Bought it once. & i’m having an issue similar, i own the LCE Disk, But my disk is being buggy, & i really wish i could just EVEN Re-Download it in Digital Form. & Keep the disk as a collectors item with the other Forza disk’s! Having the option to buy the same game twice shouldn’t exist, & Cost’s Over double the price! & Everyone Revolt!!!.. On The Micro-Transaction Age! Maybe on our PC Browser’s, & Mobile Phone’s, But now in Console Video Game’s?
Such A Downer Knowing it’s a pay to win title in a way. not this title particularly cause it doesn’t matter what you spend in FM5, That’s up to you, & skill & practice is required. But it seem’s like they were in the mist of playing Real Racing 3 & Realized, Hey! Let’s give everything Micro-Transaction’s & Make Triple The Money Off Each Customer! like most kid’s that play it are gonna have a VISA Ready? Or Paypal Account Ready? To Buy A Visual Item In A Game. It’s the worst idea ever. I like the game dev’s from the Unreal Tournament Age, They Made Such Awesome Map’s/Mod’s/Updates. That the game was just never ending, i’d never run into the same map twice in some server’s it was great! or like Counter-Strike. Everything was FREE! I Wish more old head’s were around to see this $#*(@!!!
Ughhhh… I Wish Game Dev’s were more devoted to there fan’s, than there selves! Making the game as perfect as it can get & be patient about it so not as many people complain!.. FM5 could of been Soooo Much better if they just held the whole X-One unit back by 1 year, The Xbox 360 is still alive & kicking anyways, most games are still releasing for that unit, & Most every game i played on X-One is Bug Filled. & just to bring it up again, my windows 95 PC Can run and rip an MP3 From An Audio Disk. But Brand new Tech can’t even rip a disk period? let alone some visual EQ. no streaming music. it’s been a disaster for this console, Let’s just hope those system patches fix’s it up!
But for the question, Most likely will have to download it twice, maybe if you buy it off Xbox.com’s Website you can buy it there! it will register! & hopefully you won’t have to Re-Install. But it’s just a quick idea i came up with that should work, On Xbox’s site it say’s i either bought it or didn’t. & game’s that are installed on my system will still come up as purchasable! So i don’t see why not? Other than some weird glitch to where one day you’ll have to re-download & the purchase somehow went through but didn’t give you key access to the game? who know’s. Safe to say Un-Installing The Disk & Re-Installing The Digital Edition Is the Best & Sure shot way to make sure there’s no error in purchase!
You mean pretty much like Blue ray movies, you get the blue ray the DVD and then a digital copy 
Yeah! that’s how Xbox One game’s should be! It’s right in everyone’s face like it’s nice to own the digital quick download, for people that move around a lot, & the LCE Disk is well, …a disk! & disk’s just find way’s to become damaged over time, so it’s a kinda fight in my head whether or not to get the disk or digital version.
The Digital Version is more Logical, Hence If you Delete, & Re-Download A Digital Download, It will just boot up, & the + of having all Game Update’s Applied at once, once the download is finished & you go to enter the game. With a Disk… yeahhhh… how about Nooo!!!.. Need To Update Game Every time with a disk! Forced to Download… The Update… I’m not even sure what the update size is now. but all the updates are basically all one. instead of like 5 different updates simultaneously! so there’s a disadvantage at using a disk version, compared to the Digital version! that’s the only good part… is the Update’s are all merged together! 
Would be nice to have a code with the LCE code + normal edition’s as well, & the code will allow for a full digital download + ownership, which i mean you do own it, the receipt is in perfect condition. In fact i just looked & my disk look’s warped almost? i might get it replaced while i can. & if i can! But Basically “Metaphorically Speaking” ALL Xbox One Title’s would have a Code for Digital & Disk Ownership In Each Case. Ahhhh what a dream that would be, which would probably never happen, but would ROCK If it did, Well really it should, you freaking own the game title already, it’s clearly buying the same thing twice… i wouldn’t mind picking up a few game’s then cause i’d feel more secure. I’m still picking off DLC From the 360! Going for all the Beatles DLC Later on when i can blast it & setup the drumset! it’s the last Rock band DLC I’m Missing & my arm’s damaged to all hell, 5 car accident’s, right broken elbow snapped fully in half, left shoulder,collar bone,left area in my rib cage, & rotary cuff is all damaged really really bad!
Hint of advice! don’t crash a 4 wheeler into a tree when booking it downhill on a brand new yamaha & a really really crappy helmet that blinded me & flung off my head when i landed. Always make sure that helmet is snug! when i hit the tree my left shoulder collided with the tree & i did a spin in the air & smashed into the ground. got up like nothing happened, & just stared at the 4 wheeler cracked in half with the wheel’s still spinning!.. it took year’s for that exact pain to start taking me down to the point of emergency room, than a house fire on june 3rd 2011, i was third floor when the second floor was up, so i called really fast & went downstair’s & the door just exploded! hit me down the stairs, Even Playing FM5 hurt’s. lol!!! Ughhh… i notice i’v been paused a lot more than i’v been in-game that’s for sure.

I bought the disk LCE version. If I wanted to buy the digital, what then; you can’t buy the digital LCE anymore… Would I lose the LCE skins and bonuses?
Oh… If you bought the Limited Collectors Edition, It’s really just that Bonus Content Code that’s so special & the casing about it, you won’t loose a thing if you un-install the game, than buy it as a digital game, than re-download/re-install & than re-download all the content for it before loading it up, once all is downloaded & installed the digital version will play without disk & you’ll have you’re LCE Content as well!
It’s the reason why i strongly believe a code should come with Every Xbox One Game! Cause it’s literally charging you twice for the same game, When Proof of Purchase can be proved, than you shouldn’t have to pay twice for the same content & game you already bought, & say a disk was to break on you, you’re Forced to buy Forza 5 Digital Version, If of course you want to get back in the game.
Remind’s me of Rock Band, House Burning Down Lost Everything Except saved things from the first floor which i saved a few thing’s but not the things i really wanted to save, & When we moved into the first place temporarily i tried everything to get Rock Band’s disk to work but it wouldn’t!!! So i seen it on sale & the Digital Edition for 20 or 30$? Anyways i clearly bought the game twice, just for the satisfaction i can quickly download it digitally if the disk is physically damaged, & as i said above, disk’s find there way’s to get damaged, depending on you’re room & temperatures & dust… i noticed there very fragile! i’v seen some take a beating & last forever… & i’v seen some delicately handled & they still just got not scratched? but warped! & good enough they won’t RIP To the HDD & Play.
So now with every game i have my mind on Digital Version Or Disk? Not like the disk get’s updated when you update the game. the Disk will Always need an Update. So Basically If you were Offline & Couldn’t get online, installed the game to play quick, you’d be missing 2 track’s, drag racing. all the car’s… ugh… If the Disk’s did Update/Burn a type of Update to the disk Digitally then i wouldn’t mind the Disk so much, But with X-One It’s All Online & Digital! So No Real Reason to Get The Disk Version, While The Digital Version is clearly the quickest best choice! Anytime you’d have to Re-Download the game, At least the Updates are Automatically Downloaded with the game download with Digital Version’s.
